Position Summary

The Project Manager will lead one of Web Industries' most strategic technology development initiatives focused on enabling the next generation of aerospace manufacturing.

This individual will be responsible for building, leading, and managing a dedicated cross-functional team located in the U.S. and Europe while coordinating internal engineering resources, third-party technology partners, and executive stakeholders to successfully develop and industrialize Web's Next Generation High-Rate Slit Tape (NGHR) technology.

The primary objective is to deliver a fully validated prototype that achieves Technology Readiness Level (TRL) 6 and Manufacturing Readiness Level (MRL) 6, establishing the foundation for future production programs.

This strategic assignment has direct involvement with executive leadership and significant impact on Web Industries' long-term aerospace growth strategy.

Primary Responsibilities

Lead all aspects of the NGHR Technology Development Program including:

  • Overall program planning and execution
  • Schedule, budget and resource management
  • Critical path development and risk mitigation
  • Technical decision analysis
  • Cross-functional team leadership
  • Executive communication and reporting
  • Third-party technology integration

The Project Manager is accountable for delivering all technical milestones necessary to achieve prototype qualification and production readiness.

Leadership Responsibilities

The Project Manager will directly supervise a dedicated international project team consisting of four full-time technical professionals.

  • Recruit, develop, mentor, and lead the project team.
  • Establish project objectives and individual performance expectations.
  • Coordinate engineering activities across U.S. and European operations.
  • Promote collaboration between engineering, operations, quality, suppliers, and executive leadership.
  • Manage budget and CapX and allocate resources to meet project milestones and critical path objectives.
  • Remove technical and organizational barriers that impact program execution.
  • Foster a culture of innovation, accountability, teamwork, and continuous improvement.
Required Qualifications
  • Bachelor's degree in Engineering or related technical discipline.
  • 5-10 years leading complex engineering, manufacturing, or technology development projects – 3-4 years if individual is well verse in Web’s existing technology
  • Aerospace composite experience is a plus
  • Strong project planning, organizational, and communication skills.
  • Ability to adapt to changes and influence across multiple organizations.
  • Financial and business planning experience is desirable.
  • PMP certification is a plus
  • This position is a dedicated, full-time leadership role within Web Industries' proprietary R&D development center.
  • The Project Manager is expected to work closely with engineers, technicians, equipment suppliers, research organizations, and customers in a highly collaborative, hands‑on environment.
  • Approximately up to 50% of travel is expected, primarily to Domestic/European facilities, suppliers, research partners, and customer locations.

Success will be measured by the ability to:

  • Deliver the program on schedule and within budget.
  • Successfully integrate the four core technology systems into a unified manufacturing platform.
  • Achieve TRL6/MRL6 validation milestones.
  • Establish a scalable manufacturing process ready for commercialization.
  • Build and develop a high performing international project team.
  • Position Web Industries as a technology leader in next-generation aerospace slit tape manufacturing.
