Job description

Travel Medical Technologist (MT/MLS)

This is a 13-week contract position, starting ASAP.

Nights, 4x10hr shifts from 8:00 PM to 6:30 AM, Monday through Thursday.

The Travel Medical Technologist will perform diagnostic testing on patient samples to aid physicians in diagnosing and monitoring various disease states. The role involves following standardized procedures, preparing samples for testing, and analyzing test results for accuracy, acceptability, and critical limits. The position requires a bachelor's degree and certification as a medical technologist.

Responsibilities:

  • Perform diagnostic testing on patient samples.
  • Prepare samples for testing and analyze test results.
  • Ensure compliance with standardized procedures.
  • Work within various departments including Chemistry, Hematology, Coagulation, Urinalysis, and Blood Bank.

Required Experience / Certifications / Licensure:

  • Minimum of 2 years of experience as a Medical Technologist.
  • At least 2 previous travel assignments completed successfully.
  • ASCP or AMT certification required.
  • Preferred experience with Beckman Hematology, ACL Top Coag, BB gel testing, and Beckman Chemistry analyzers.
  • Cerner experience is preferred.
