Job description

Lexus of Bellevue is a dealership in the O'Brien Auto Group, is currently looking to hire for Service Valets. We are searching for individuals who are hardworking, friendly and enjoy interacting with people. Previous customer service experience preferred.
This position pays $20.25 per hour. All employees subject to eligibility requirements, we offer the following benefits:

Job Summary:
The Service Valet/Porter will be directly responsible for the care, security, and transport of customer cars, company cars and visitor cars on and between dealership premises and vendor premises. In addition, the Service Valet/Porter will be directly responsible for the prompt and courteous greeting of customers and guests in the service drive for the purpose of welcoming them to the dealership, being a valet with their car, directing them to the appropriate department or personnel, helping check their car into service, and checking in/out their loaner car. Service Valet/Porters will assist customers in entering/exiting and loading/unloading their cars.
Responsibilities to Include:
  • Facilitate the flow of vehicles through the service drive, parking lot and between facilities.
  • Drive vehicles through car wash system, performing and/or assisting with the car wash process.
  • Clean the interior glass of the vehicle and dust the interior console area.
  • Under direction of valet supervisor on duty, fuel and clean loaner cards daily.
  • Transport sales demo cars back to designated storage at the warehouse.
  • Report to management in the following order: Valet Supervisor on duty, service support manager, assistant service manager, service manager, and general manager.
  • Perform other job description as directed or scheduled, i.e., car wash, shuttle driver, team leader, shop maintenance.
  • Maintain all outside parking lots.
  • Drive in a safe and legal manner.
  • Maintain good customer and employee relations.
  • Report all important customer comments to management.
  • Maintain a high level of personal cleanliness, hygiene, grooming and appearance.
  • Wear required uniform and follow dress code.
  • Maintain clean driving record and current Washington State drivers license.
  • Be available to fill in shifts whenever possible.
  • Perform other duties as assigned by management.
  • Regular attendance and timeliness is essential.
  • Work in cooperative, positive & professional manner with all personnel in the company.
  • Treat members of the public and customers in a courteous and non-discriminatory manner. Maintain professional demeanor while at work.
  • Must conform to company policy regarding non-discrimination and harassment.

Equipment/Machines/Tools Typically Used: Pressure washers, steam cleaning equipment, water hoses, buckets, sponges, polishers, cloth rags, hand-held squeeze bottles, and mechanics hand tools. Rubber gloves worn as required.
Chemicals: Numerous chemicals are used/handles on a frequent basis. Employee will be trained by their supervisor on the safe handling/use of these substances. Employee will follow all safety directives at all times.
Physical Demands: Intermittent standing, walking, sitting, stooping, kneeling, crouching; lifting of 50 lbs or less on an occasional basis and carrying of 25 lbs or less on a frequent basis; frequent pushing and pulling, twisting and turning of trunk, reaching, handling of objects, occasional climbing, balancing, and crawling.
