Position Overview
The Valet / Transportation Attendant is responsible for providing safe, efficient, and courteous vehicle and transportation services to hotel guests. This role supports guest arrivals and departures, assists with valet parking and shuttle transportation, and ensures a positive first and last impression while maintaining safety, professionalism, and operational efficiency within a full-service hotel environment.
What You'll Do
Guest Arrival & Departure Services
  • Greet guests promptly and professionally upon arrival and departure.
  • Assist guests with vehicle drop-off and retrieval in a timely manner.
  • Load and unload guest luggage as needed.
  • Provide clear directions and information regarding hotel services and transportation options.

Valet Parking Operations
  • Park and retrieve guest vehicles safely and efficiently following established procedures.
  • Conduct basic vehicle inspections and report any pre-existing damage.
  • Maintain accurate valet tickets, keys, and vehicle logs.
  • Ensure vehicle keys are stored securely and handled according to policy.

Transportation & Shuttle Support
  • Operate hotel shuttle vehicles as scheduled or requested.
  • Transport guests to and from designated locations safely and courteously.
  • Maintain shuttle cleanliness and report any vehicle maintenance needs.
  • Assist with scheduling and coordinating guest transportation requests.

Safety, Security & Compliance
  • Follow all traffic laws, hotel safety standards, and transportation policies.
  • Monitor traffic flow in loading zones to ensure guest safety.
  • Report accidents, incidents, or suspicious activity immediately.
  • Support emergency procedures as required.

Team Collaboration & Guest Service
  • Work closely with Front Desk, Bell Services, and Transportation leadership.
  • Communicate guest needs, delays, or special requests promptly.
  • Assist with group arrivals, VIP guests, and special events.
  • Maintain a professional, friendly, and service-oriented demeanor at all times.

Additional Responsibilities
  • Maintain cleanliness and organization of valet stands, driveways, and transportation areas.
  • Assist with crowd and traffic control during peak periods.
  • Perform other duties as assigned to support hotel operations.
  • Maintain reliable and consistent attendance as an essential function of the job.

What You'll Bring
Required Education & Experience
  • High School Diploma or equivalent required.

Preferred Education & Experience
  • Previous valet, transportation, or guest service experience preferred.
  • Experience driving shuttle vehicles or vans preferred.
  • Experience working in hospitality or service environments preferred.

Required Skills and Abilities
  • Valid driver's license with acceptable driving record.
  • Ability to drive both automatic and manual transmission vehicles preferred.
  • Ability to stand, walk, and remain active for extended periods.
  • Ability to lift, push, or pull luggage and equipment (up to 50 lbs.).
  • Strong customer service and communication skills.
  • Ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced environment.
