Role

Reporting to the Manager, Supply Operations, the incumbent will be responsible for coordinating the supply logistics of various terminals in Eastern Canada.

Responsabilities

  • Manage gasoline/distillate supply activities and inventories at the Ontario and Chatham terminals

  • Manage ethanol supply activities and Inventories at various terminals

  • Plan and optimize the use of available means of transportation (pipeline, rail, trucking) to supply the Ontario and Chatham terminals

  • Prepare product demand forecasts and logistics requirements

  • Coordinate the resolution of third-party supply issues

  • Maintain the integrity of supply agreements and volume contracts with third parties

  • Ensure product quality management at Maitland/Chatha and lead efforts to resolve quality issues as required

  • Coordinate all demands for pipeline transportation appointments, schedule all product movements and ensure proper execution of    deliveries

  • Review and analyze sales data

  • Complete administrative tasks related to invoicing and monthly reconciliation of invoices payable

  • Act as backup for the Product Schedulers


Qualifications

Qualifications

  • Bachelorโ€™s degree (business related, logistic or engineering)

  • Minimum of 3-5 years of relevant experience

  • Bilingual - French and English (spoken and written)

  • Experience in petroleum industry, a strong asset

  • Strong Excel & SAP / SAP BW knowledge, an asset

  • Strong team player

  •  Initiative and leadership

  • Creative problem-solving skills, under pressure

  •  Analytical skills

  • Communication and negotiation skills

Valero Energy Inc. is governed by the Charter of the French Language. However, knowledge of English is considered necessary for performing the tasks of this position.  The individual in this position will be required to review documents and interact both verbally and in writing with colleagues at the head office in Texas or in other Canadian provinces, or with various stakeholders such as customers, suppliers, unilingual anglophone business partners.
