What is a vaccination pharmacist?

Vaccination pharmacists are licensed pharmacists who are specially trained to administer vaccines and provide immunization services to patients. They play a key role in public health by educating the community about vaccines, screening patients for vaccine eligibility, and safely administering a variety of immunizations, such as flu shots, COVID-19 vaccines, and travel vaccines. In many regions, pharmacists must complete additional certification and follow specific protocols to offer these services. Their involvement helps increase access to vaccinations and improves overall immunization rates in the community.

What does a vaccination pharmacist do?

A typical day for a Vaccination Pharmacist involves a mix of direct patient care and administrative responsibilities.
