Job Summary:
This individual will be the primary contact for all customers, sales personnel, and other company personnel at the CAT Rental Store. The Rental Coordinator is responsible for coordinating rental sales/support services, communication, and information flow for the branch equipment rental fleet by determining customer rental needs and handling all corresponding rental reservations.
 
Essential Functions and Responsibilities:
  • Strong customer service skills.
  • Ability to handle multiple tasks.
  • Organized and detail-oriented.
  • Strong mechanical aptitude.
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills are essential.
Minimum Skills and Qualifications:
  • High school diploma or equivalent required.
  • Three years’ experience in customer service, preferred experience in the heavy equipment and/or equipment rental industry.
  • Excellent computer skills – MS Office proficiency required.
  • Must understand and be able to effectively explain the company’s LDW policy.
  • Must understand and be able to effectively communicate equipment applications and key performance specifications.
  • Understands usage and applications of all rental equipment and services offered.
  • Must have thorough knowledge of “common” equipment failure problems and how to resolve them.
  • Must recognize the difference between similar products and the advantages/disadvantages of applications.
  • Must have working knowledge of construction phases to properly advise applications.

Physical Requirements:
Primary functions require sufficient physical ability and mobility to work in an office setting; to stand or sit for prolonged periods of time; to occasionally stoop, bend, kneel, crouch, reach, and twist; to lift, carry, push, and/or pull light to moderate amounts of weight; to operate office equipment requiring repetitive hand movement and fine coordination including use of a computer keyboard; and to verbally communicate to exchange information. Repetitive Motions: Frequent movement requiring hands, wrists, and fingers. The noise level in the work environment is usually quiet in office settings and moderate to loud in other situations, with both constant and sudden loud noises possible.
