Job Summary
A Warranty Tradesman at Alys Beach Construction is a skilled worker, who is responsible to work side by side with the Warranty Supervisor, Project Managers and Superintendents, and property owner; to complete tasks related to punch list or repair, that arise when preparing home for closing as well as warranty items that arise during the Builders Warranty period.
Job Responsibilities
  • Work with Warranty Supervisor, Project Managers and Superintendents to coordinate deadlines.
  • Communicate clearly with the Quality Control Specialist.
  • Collaborate with Sub-contractors to complete Punch list in a timely manner.
  • Basic plumbing, carpentry, electrical, drywall, repair knowledge.
  • Excellent communication skills.
  • Ability to take initiative and hold accountability.
  • Maintain professionalism always.
  • Quality Control of the construction of the home, as daily inspections of the quality are required to obtain perfection.
  • Ensuring that all projects are performed in accordance with contractual and quality standards.

Job Requirements
  • Minimum of 5 years construction experience
  • Ability to read, write, and speak clearly and professionally.
  • High School diploma or GED
  • Basic computer knowledge required (i.e., laptop computer/MS Surface, smart phone).

Preferred Skills and Knowledge:
  • Possess the necessary skills including good time management skills, negotiation skills, analytical and problem-resolution skills, leadership and motivation skills, written and verbal communication and interpersonal skills. All of these skills are necessary to deal with superiors and construction crew.
  • Proactive, plans well and addresses problems promptly.
  • Committed to doing quality work the first time with little or no need for re-work.
  • Proactive, looks for problems that could impede progress and relentlessly takes responsibility for solving them.
  • Is polite, conversational, humble, self-confident, non-assuming and comfortable to be with.
  • Is deadline driven, punctual and respects other people's time.
  • Experience with iPad, iPhone usage
  • Able to identify any punch items interior and exterior of home.

Essential Job Function
  • Experience communicating with Homeowners, Construction Team members, Interior Designers, Architects, Consultants, and subcontractors, verbally and electronically.
  • Organized and produces a paper trail that can be easily understood by a third parties.
  • Experience with confronting difficult situations and manages them to a successful conclusion.
  • Possess the complete knowledge of constructions methods, practices, materials, equipment, tools, precautions, and utilities.
  • Hands on, ability to work with tools to get repairs, punch related items, completed.
  • Maintain professionalism always.
  • Team work, to include strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
  • Lifting, bending, stretching, standing for extended periods.
  • Work in the elements of nature: heat, cold, rain, wind.
