Location: Orlando, FL
Department: Mobile Fleet Maintenance
Focus: Customer Service | Fleet Readiness | Field Service

Do you take pride in keeping trucks safe, reliable, and ready for work? Cumberland Idealease is looking for a Mobile Technician who enjoys working independently in the field while staying connected to a strong service team.
In this role, you'll support lease and rental customers throughout the Orlando market by performing preventive maintenance, diagnostics, inspections, and repairs on medium- and heavy-duty trucks. You'll represent the Idealease brand at customer locations with professionalism, consistency, and care-doing the job right the first time.

What You'll Do
As a Mobile Technician, you'll play a key role in keeping customer fleets and rental units operating safely, efficiently, and reliably.
Your day-to-day responsibilities include:
  • Perform Preventive Maintenance
    Complete PM services on Class 6-8 trucks following Idealease standards, customer requirements, and safety guidelines.
  • Diagnose & Repair Trucks
    Troubleshoot and repair mechanical, electrical, brake, suspension, drivability, and emissions systems.
  • Support Customer Fleets in the Field
    Provide mobile service to assigned lease and rental customers throughout the Orlando area.
  • Conduct Inspections
    Perform DOT inspections, safety checks, and follow-up repairs to keep units compliant and road-ready.
  • Document Work Accurately
    Record labor, parts used, inspection results, and repair recommendations using company systems.
  • Communicate Clearly
    Keep the service and parts teams informed on job status, parts needs, customer concerns, and next steps.
  • Coordinate Parts & Repairs
    Work closely with the parts department to source components, manage returns, and complete repairs efficiently.
  • Maintain Your Service Vehicle & Tools
    Keep the mobile service truck organized, stocked, clean, and ready for daily operations.
  • Deliver a Positive Customer Experience
    Represent Cumberland Idealease professionally at every customer site through reliability, respect, and follow-through.
What We're Looking For
  • 3-5 years of experience servicing Class 6-8 trucks or comparable heavy-duty equipment
  • Strong background and experience working on refrigerated units such as ThermoKing and Carrier.
  • Ability to perform PMs, inspections, diagnostics, and repairs in a mobile service environment
  • Strong troubleshooting skills across mechanical, electrical, brake, suspension, drivetrain, and emissions systems
  • Customer-focused mindset with solid communication and follow-up skills
  • Ability to manage work orders and document repairs clearly and accurately
  • Experience with digital repair or fleet systems (IBS, Decisiv, or similar platforms preferred)
  • Valid driver's license required with a CDL A or B endorsement
  • ASE and/or OEM certifications are a plus-or willingness to pursue them
