Position Summary

Stay Dog Rentals is seeking a dependable and skilled Handyman to join our team in Rapid City, MI. Weโ€™re looking for a hands-on problem-solver who takes pride in delivering high-quality work and enjoys maintaining properties to the highest standard.

In this role, you will be responsible for performing a variety of maintenance and repair tasks to ensure our rental homes remain in excellent condition for our guests. The ideal candidate will have a eye for detail, the ability to work independently, and a strong commitment to providing outstanding service and support. Please note this is a 1099 role.

Responsibilities
  • Perform general maintenance and repair tasks across multiple vacation rental properties.

  • Conduct routine property inspections to identify maintenance needs and ensure homes are guest-ready.

  • Respond promptly to urgent repair requests and guest-reported issues to maintain a high standard of comfort and satisfaction.

  • Assemble, install, or replace furniture, fixtures, and appliances as needed.

  • Collaborate with property managers to prioritize tasks and ensure timely completion of maintenance work.

  • Maintain accurate records of completed repairs, materials used, and time spent on each task.

  • Ensure all tools, equipment, and workspaces are kept organized, clean, and in good working condition.

  • Uphold safety standards and follow company policies while representing the brand in a professional and courteous manner.

Qualifications
  • Proven experience in general maintenance, repairs, or handyman services (e.g., plumbing, electrical, carpentry, painting).

  • Strong problem-solving skills and ability to troubleshoot issues independently.

  • Excellent time management and organizational abilities.

  • Reliable transportation and a valid driverโ€™s license with a clean driving record.

  • Ability to lift heavy items, climb ladders, and perform physically demanding tasks as needed.
