About Us: Most of our homes are located within Beachwalk Resort - a magical place located right across from Lake Michigan’s most beautiful beach where charming cottages and grand beach homes are nestled behind picket fences inviting neighbors to chat and vacationers to reconnect with family. In addition to the 90+ homes within the resort, we manage an additional 40+ units in other areas of Northwest Indiana and nearby. These homes are individually owned and contracted with us for vacation rental management.

Job Summary: The Housekeeping Supervisor oversees their team's daily assigned housekeeping tasks. They are responsible for leading a team of housekeeping staff to ensure that vacation rental properties are exquisitely clean, organized, and maintained to the highest standards. The Supervisor will schedule, clean, train, and motivate the team, while ensuring that assignments are completed efficiently and effectively. 
 
Essential Duties and Responsibilities: 
  • Supervise the housekeeping staff; providing open communication, training, coaching, and counseling and providing performance feedback to ensure maximum efficiency. 
  • Create and manage cleaning schedules to ensure efficient property turnover between guest stays. 
  • Acquire detailed knowledge of assigned homes and communicate discrepancies post check-out. 
  • Improve upon current processes to ensure quality, profitability, and future growth. 
  • Coordinate special cleaning projects (deep cleaning, carpet shampooing, upholstery care, etc.) and preventive maintenance tasks. 
  • Inspect all cleaned properties daily to company standards. 
  • Monitor, coordinate and execute the special requests and needs of guests. 
  • Respond to guest complaints and special requests. 
  • Control expenses within all areas of housekeeping. 
  • Maintain housekeeping equipment and tools in proper working order and ensure adequate supply levels at all times. 
  • Reports any maintenance problems, safety hazards, accidents, or injuries; completes safety training and certifications. 
  • Develops and maintains positive working relationships with others and listens and responds to the concerns of employees. 
  • Recommend disciplinary, or other staffing/human resources-related actions in accordance with company rules and policies. Alert management of potentially serious issues. 
  • Conduct quality control checks to ensure work meets established standards. 
  • Participate in the hiring, training, and retention of team members while fostering a pipeline of future leaders. 
  • Keeps housekeeping storage room neat and organized. 
  • Requires walking and standing most of the shift, with ability to bend, kneel, and twist. Must be able to lift, push, and/or pull up to 50 pounds. Ability to clean and train staff.

Qualifications: 
  • High school diploma or equivalent 
  • 2–3 years of housekeeping or hospitality experience required; at least 1 year in a supervisory or lead role preferred 
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills 
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment 
  • Strong organizational and time management skills 
  • Attention to detail and high standards for cleanliness and maintenance 
  • Knowledge of cleaning products, techniques, and equipment 
  • Reliable Transportation
