Job description

About VayKLife

At VayKLife, we help people enjoy better vacations. We put smiles on guests’ faces by delivering the bikes, beach chairs, umbrellas, baby equipment, and other vacation gear that help families make the most of their time away. Our promise is simple but important: deliver exactly what the guest ordered—clean, safe, and on time.

We are passionate about creating great vacation experiences, and we are looking for leaders who share that passion and can build teams that feel the same way. VayKLife has grown into a large coastal operation supporting vacation destinations from Virginia to Texas, with continued opportunities for strong leaders to grow with us.

The Opportunity

We are hiring Territory Managers to lead our Hilton Head Island operations. Each Territory Manager has full responsibility for the people, service, quality, safety, warehouse, vehicles, inventory, and financial performance of a local territory.

This is a hands-on leadership role—but it is a manager-first role. You will set the plan, build and coach the team, delegate the work, inspect results, solve problems, and hold people accountable. You should be ready to step into frontline work when needed, while maintaining control and command of the overall operation.

What You’ll Own
  • Build, lead, coach, schedule, and develop a dependable team of supervisors, drivers, and warehouse employees.

  • Create daily and weekly operating plans using order forecasts, staffing needs, inventory, vehicles, and route requirements.

  • Ensure guests receive the correct gear—clean, safe, complete, and on time—and that service issues are resolved quickly.

  • Maintain a clean, safe, and organized warehouse with accurate inventory and clear workflows for returned, ready, damaged, and repairable gear.

  • Ensure bikes, beach gear, trucks, and trailers are inspected, maintained, and ready for service.

  • Manage labor, overtime, equipment, and other operating costs while protecting service quality.

  • Set clear expectations, delegate effectively, inspect the work, recognize strong performance, and address performance problems promptly.

  • Supervise teams that spend much of the day working independently in the field, using technology, operating data, communication, and follow-up to confirm work is completed correctly and on time.

Who Succeeds in This Role
  • People-focused leaders who can encourage, coach, and develop employees while holding them accountable.

  • Calm, resourceful problem-solvers who make good decisions when plans change or unexpected issues arise.

  • Highly organized operators who can manage multiple priorities without losing control of the details.

  • Leaders with a track record of setting expectations, delegating work, inspecting results, and following through.

  • Hands-on managers who are comfortable working in both warehouse and outdoor field environments.

  • Strong planners with practical spreadsheet and computer skills for forecasting, scheduling, tracking performance, and communicating plans.

  • Managers who can adjust staffing and schedules as demand changes and demonstrate sound cost and labor management.

  • Leaders who can use remote-supervision tools and techniques to manage employees working independently across a territory.

  • Candidates with leadership experience in operations, logistics, hospitality, rental services, field service, warehousing, or another fast-paced environment.

A Seasonal, Weekend-Driven Operation

Vacation travel is highly seasonal, and our busiest periods are concentrated around weekends. Peak-season Saturdays and Sundays are critical operating days and may require early mornings, long days, and quick adjustments. The people who thrive here enjoy that pace, plan ahead, stay composed under pressure, and take pride in delivering for guests when it matters most.

Growth Opportunities

VayKLife operates across a broad coastal footprint, creating opportunities beyond a single territory. Territory Managers who demonstrate consistent results, strong cost control, excellent team leadership, and command of daily operations will be well positioned for other operational leadership opportunities as the company grows and positions become available.

Schedule and Location

This is a full-time, on-site position based in [either Hilton Head Island or Charleston, South Carolina]. Regular weekend availability is required, especially during peak vacation seasons. A valid driver’s license and the ability to meet company driving requirements are also required.

What We Offer
  • Competitive compensation based on experience

  • Annual performance-based bonus opportunity

  • Medical and dental insurance plans

  • Unlimited PTO

  • Professional development and growth opportunities
