Job description

The Loma Linda VA has an opening for an energetic, driven, and compassionate Physician in healthcare to serve as a Interventional Radiologist.

Facility Details: VA Loma Linda Healthcare System (VALLHCS) is actively recruiting to fill a Board Certified Interventional Radiologist to help care for our Veterans - America's Heroes! Selected candidate will be considered for a faculty appointment within the Department of Radiology at Loma Linda University & be involved with education & teaching of medical students, residents & other providers. This exciting job opportunity awaits you in our, state of-the-art VA facility in the city! Loma Linda VAMC is among the VA Medical Centers in the Western U.S. and has been improving the health of the men and women who have so proudly served our nation.

Position Details: The physician will be responsible for services to inpatient and outpatient Clinics. Perform interventional procedures including ultrasound (US), CT and fluoroscopic guided lumbar puncture, biopsy or drainage in the neck, chest, abdomen, and pelvis and in the musculoskeletal system. Perform invasive and non-invasive procedures within the approved scope of practice at the Loma Linda VA Medical Center. Supervise and teach fellows, residents and medical students who are rotating on the Radiology Service. Develop a research program in a relevant area of Interventional Radiology that will provide benefit to Veterans' healthcare needs. Perform diagnostic interpretation of x-rays.

Salary: $380,000-$400,000

Work Schedule: Monday - Friday, 8:00 AM - 4:30 PM, evening shift when needed, and to provide call coverage.

The city is located approximately 60 miles east of Los Angeles in San Bernardino County. Adjacent to California's Interstate 10 freeway, Loma Linda is freeway close to beaches, mountains, and desert resorts.
