At WTCSB our mission is to provide a coordinated system of quality recovery oriented care in Mental Health, Intellectual Disability, and Substance Abuse Services to the citizens of the cities of Franklin and Suffolk and the counties of Isle of Wight and Southampton. We continually strive to value staff, support diversity, and promote excellence and personal choice in the provision of consumer care.

We are seeking Qualified Mental Health Professionals for our

______Waverly Nursing Home Pilot Program______________ department.

Gero-Psychiatric, Mental Health, or ID/DD experience is preferred for this position.

Responsibilities and Duties for QMHP:

  • Teach consumers appropriate strategies to manage behavioral and mental health symptoms
  • Assist with consumer service plans related to identified needs and goals
  • Assist consumers in gaining access to appropriate medical, psychiatric, social, educational, vocational and other support and services
  • Provide consumer training/reinforcement, linkage to supports/services
  • Advocate on behalf of consumer, family and providers
  • Monitor/assess service delivery
  • Behavior management and crisis intervention.

Qualifications and Skills:

  • Bachelor's Degree in a Human Service field
  • One year experience working directly with individuals with intellectual disabilities, mental illness, substance abuse or who are dually diagnosed.
  • QMHP-C or QMHP-A certified by the Board of Health Professions
  • Valid Driver's License with acceptable DMV record.
