Job description

Tradesmen International is immediately hiring experienced Traveling Boiler Service Technician for projects located in NC, SC, GA, and VA.  This is a first shift opportunity and the pay rate is up to $30/hour plus $55/day and lodging to Travelers 60+ miles from the Job-site. If you are a Boiler Service Technician and want to work alongside other proven craftsmen who emphasize safety, productivity and superior craftsmanship, this is your chance to advance your career! 

Job Scope:       

  • Perform maintenance, repair, troubleshooting, and startup of commercial and industrial boiler systems
  • Service steam and hot water boilers
  • Diagnose and repair burners, controls, motors, and electrical systems
  • Perform combustion testing and burner adjustments
  • Conduct preventative maintenance inspections and site surveys
  • Install replacement components and perform system modifications as needed
  • Complete service documentation and communicate findings with customers

Requirements:

  • 5+ years of commercial or industrial boiler service experience
  • Strong troubleshooting and diagnostic skills
  • Experience with burner systems and combustion controls
  • Ability to read electrical schematics and troubleshoot control wiring
  • EPA Universal Certification
  • Valid Driver's License
  • Ability to travel and work overtime as needed
  • Must pass pre-employment drug screening

Preferred Experience:

  • Steam boiler systems
  • Dual-fuel burners
  • Combustion tuning
  • Boiler controls and instrumentation
  • Industrial or manufacturing environments
