Job description

USA Environmental is seeking a UXO Technician III/Diver for an upcoming Dive project in Vieques, PR. The project involves underwater MEC Removal. The project dates are July 12, 2026 - September 12, 2026.
Personnel Requirements:
  • U.S. Citizen unless exception approved by the U.S. Government;
  • Valid state driver's license;
  • Ability to handle in a safe manner the vehicle assigned to drive within and in the vicinity of the site;
  • Graduate of a military EOD School of the United States, Canada, Great Britain, Germany, or Australia, or Graduate of a UXO-TI Course or the EOD assistant's course;
  • On-the-job training including, but not limited to familiarity with the process, procedures, and equipment (e.g., geophysical) used for conducting MEC-related activities;
  • Never been removed from a MEC assignment for personnel reliability reasons or unsatisfactory performance of duties, substantiated by official documentation;
  • Graduate of an OSHA-compliant (29 CFR 1910.120(e)(4)) 8-hour Management and Supervisor Training Course;
  • Eight (8) or more years of documented experience in performing range clearance operations. Experience may be a combination of both active duty military EOD experience and contractor MEC experience, but at least one (1) year of MEC-related experience is required if the individual is a graduate of EOD school. (Note: Credit for EOD experience in National Guard or Reserve Units will be based on the actual documented time spent on active duty, not on the total time of service).
