This role operates remotely, with a focus on supporting students in a school setting. Our virtual environment ensures flexibility while allowing for meaningful interactions and engagements with students, parents, and educational staff. The work hours are Monday through Friday, from 9:00 AM to 5:00 PM, facilitating a balanced professional schedule that prioritizes both work-life harmony and the well-being of our clients.

• Act as a vital liaison between families, students, and outpatient healthcare providers, ensuring clear communication and coordinated care.
• Engage with insurance companies regarding pre-certification processes and utilization management to secure necessary treatment for students.
• Participate in individualized discharge and aftercare planning, working collaboratively with a multidisciplinary team to ensure seamless transitions for clients.
• Facilitate therapeutic meal support sessions, guiding students towards a healthy relationship with food and modeling positive behavior.
• Provide empathetic, culturally competent, and affirming care, tailoring treatments to accommodate the unique needs driven by clients’ intersecting identities.

The LCSW will primarily engage with a diverse student population, including children and adolescents facing various behavioral health challenges. This role necessitates a deep understanding of adolescent development and the impact of social dynamics on mental health. By fostering supportive relationships, the LCSW will contribute to students’ resilience, enhance their coping strategies, and promote academic success.

• A Master's degree in Social Work from an accredited institution is essential.
• A valid LCSW license in the state of Virginia is required for this role.
• Experience working with children and adolescents, as well as knowledge of school-based mental health interventions.
• Strong clinical and diagnostic skills, coupled with an ability to develop effective therapeutic relationships.
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills, allowing for effective collaboration with educators, parents, and students.

Experience in school settings or similar environments focused on mental health is highly preferred.
