Job description

We Are Seeking Team Gilbert has an exciting opportunity for a highly motivated professional to fill the Utility Worker I & II positions in Water Distribution. With every job we fill, our focus is on providing best-in-class service to our citizens while offering opportunities for professional growth in a rewarding, innovative work environment. The Utility Worker I & II in Water Distribution reports to the Water Distribution Supervisor.

The primary job duties of this position include: Perform installation, maintenance, inspection, and repair work on the water distribution system Operate a variety of equipment, machinery, and tools used in department projects. Perform technical duties locating underground water assets in public streets, alleys, utility easements, and right-of-way using GIS maps. Responsible for completing vehicle inspection forms and daily work logs.

Operate heavy equipment, including excavation equipment, backhoe, and vac truck Subject to emergency call-out and must be able to work overtime, including nights, weekends, holidays, and be on stand-by as required. Other duties as assigned. The salary range shown is the minimum for Worker I and the maximum for Worker II.
