KC Water provides essential water, wastewater, and stormwater services to support the health, safety, and growth of the Kansas City region. The department is responsible for maintaining and operating extensive systems for water collection, treatment, and distribution, serving more than 170,000 residential and business customers, as well as regional partners. - Responsible for the overall operation and maintenance of the Stormwater Repair Division.
- Provides leadership and direction for storm sewer, inlet, catch-basin, outfall, and related repair activities.
- Is accountable for safe, timely, and effective completion of the Division's work.
- Manages workload, staffing needs, equipment and material resources, budget support, work quality, training, reporting, compliance, and emergency readiness.

- May be required to possess at least one of the certifications listed below within 6 months of moving into this job classification in accordance with state regulations: Distribution System Level III (DS-III) License with the State of Missouri; Wastewater Collections system level A certification with the State of Missouri; Level A operator certification in water or wastewater issued by the Missouri Department of Natural Resources. Approved third party certification maintenance operations including: HVAC, welding, plumbing, electrical, machinist, mechanic etc.; Meter Testing or Repair Certification.
