Job description

Description

This position allows for a hybrid arrangement with a mix of work from home and in the office.

The position will involve coordinating with multiple internal and external departments to manage the life cycle of capital project execution.

  • Responsible for project execution, contract administration, planning and resource management
  • Take ownership for all aspects of project performance including safety, schedule, budget, reporting and client experience through entire project life cycle
  • Accountable for all phases of the project life cycle from initiation, planning, execution, monitoring/controlling, and close out
  • Manage and direct the project team to ensure accountability; mentor and coach team members
  • Develop and maintain a positive working relationship with client functional leads and stakeholders
  • Lead efforts to ensure projects are completed safely, satisfactorily, on time, and within budget
  • Support the reporting of key performance indicators for schedule, budget and other dashboard items
  • Identify and control construction risk
  • Recognize, identify, track and control change
  • Communicate and consult with appropriate stakeholders and supervisors
  • Prepare reports that project information in a clear and concise manner and meet client requirements
  • Analyze issues and provide solutions to improve results
Qualifications

Essential skills and experience:

  • 12+ years of project management experience in utility, power generation, construction, engineering, or other relevant capital project environments
  • Demonstrated experience managing complex utility capital projects from development through execution, including internal approvals, regulatory interfaces, contracting, and construction readiness
  • Proven experience leading multi-disciplinary project teams across engineering, operations, supply chain, construction, and stakeholder groups
  • Experience with power generation technologies and project execution related to Cooling Pond Fish Pump & Circulating Water Outlet Bypass System
  • Experience managing multiple projects or a growing project portfolio with competing priorities, schedules, and stakeholders
  • Experience supporting or leading regulatory approval efforts and project development activities within the utility or energy sector
  • Experience procuring and managing key project partners, including Owner's Engineers, OEMs/suppliers, EPC contractors, and construction contractors
  • Experience negotiating and supporting execution of major project agreements, including equipment supply, EPC, and construction contracts
  • Experience collaborating with plant operations teams to define and advance owner's scope of work and related reliability or site readiness projects
  • Experience serving as a firm/client liaison in a support or lead role, with strong stakeholder management skills
  • Strong understanding of capital project controls, execution planning, and milestone-driven project delivery
  • Ability to multitask and effectively manage multiple competing priorities in a fast-paced project environment
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills
  • Ability to work in a collaborative team setting
  • A high school diploma or GED
  • Comfortable with approximately 10-25% domestic travel

Valued but not required skills and experience:

  • A BS in Construction Management, Business, Engineering, or similar degree
  • Engineering design experience is a plus
  • PMP Certification is a plus
  • Construction/field knowledge or experience is a plus
