Job description

Production/Utility Laborer

Arcosa Aggregates is a leading producer and distributor of construction materials and services. We are unified in our commitment to building a better world in the communities we serve across the United States.

We are currently seeking a Production/Utility Laborer based out of our Sun City, AZ plant location. This role is responsible for operating equipment, maintaining water flow to the plant, performing inspections and lubrication, ensuring safety compliance, cross-training in various duties, and supporting effective communication and operational efficiency.

Day to Day:

  • Actively promote safety awareness and continuous improvement through positive recognition
  • Be able to operate front end loader/skid steer
  • Keep water pumped running to maintain fresh water to the plant
  • Grease and inspect the plant
  • Cross train to learn other duties
  • Comply with all industry safety rules, procedures and applicable government regulations.
  • Perform daily pre-shift equipment and workplace inspections to maintain equipment performance
  • Maintain strong communications with other plant employees and operators
  • Perform other duties or responsibilities as assigned

A typical work schedule consists of daytime hours Monday through Friday, may be required to work overtime. Saturdays may be required based on production needs.

About You:

  • Prompt, regular, and predictable attendance
  • Positive, team-based attitude
  • The ability to stand, stoop, bend, lift, walk, climb stairs, ladders, and catwalks up to 60 feet as required.
  • The ability to work in varied outdoor environments (cold, hot, dry, dusty, rainy)
  • High School Diploma or GED equivalent

Working Conditions:

  • Must be able to meet all MSHA safety requirements and adhere to company safety policies.
  • Must be able to complete work tasks under various adverse weather conditions including heat exceeding 100 degrees, cold and rain.
  • While most equipment has air conditioning, there will be times when other responsibilities may require periods of work in all weather conditions including heat, cold, wet, dry, and dusty.
  • Must be able to stand, walk, or sit for extended periods of time; grip, climb, reach, shovel, squat, crawl, or pull, push, as well as bend and lift-up to 80 pounds.
