Job description

Amentum is seeking a Food Service Utility Worker located in the Williamsburg area of Virginia. The Utility Worker cleans and sanitizes the work areas, equipment, utensils, dishes, or silverware. The worker carries food supplies, equipment, and utensils to and from storage and work areas. They are to provide the highest level of service in support of the company's mission, core values, standards, and goals.

Job Requirements:

  • Responsible for organized storage of dishes, glasses, silverware, pots, pans, utensils, etc. in appropriate areas;
  • Responsible for maintaining the sanitation of utility areas and equipment;
  • Responsible for keeping soiled dish area organized and clean between functions and at the end of the day;
  • Responsible for knowing weekly work schedule; must be in full uniform;
  • Responsible for assisting with kitchen plate-up, food service set-up and breakdown when needed;
  • Responsible for reporting all breakage to management;
  • Responsible for washing dirty pots and pans in pot sink and pot washer;
  • Responsible to wipe down and sanitize all metal surfaces in dish room/pot room between functions and at the end of the day;
  • Responsible for maintaining a clean and organized mop closet;
  • Responsible for sweeping and mopping floors between functions and at the end of the day; also when asked by management;
  • Set-up and removal of the food service equipment and tables for the services and breakdown area for banquet servers;

Minimum Requirements:

  • High School Diploma or GED
  • Valid Drivers License
  • US or Naturalized Citizen
  • Maintains tray line in a clean, neat and organized manner.
  • Puts clean dishes and utensils away
  • Meets delivery trucks, unpacks boxes and places food components in designated locations.
  • Keeps dining room clan and stocked with napkins and condiments
  • Must have valid US Government issued clearance at time of application or ability to obtain a clearance
