Job description

Get Fresh Produce has been in business since 1982 providing fresh produce and other products to restaurants and other end users in the Chicago area. Enjoy competitive pay, full benefits, and a stable work environment with a growing company.

As our Utility Associate you will be trained and responsible for selecting orders, receiving inbound loads, loading outbound loads, and forklift duties (put away/let down). You will manually touch products and use material handling equipment, including RF scanners, power pallet jacks and forklift equipment.

Essential Functions:

  • Perform general physical activities in a warehouse, including loading, unloading, selecting, sorting and moving products and materials manually
  • Forklift functions including put away and replenishment of product.
  • Utilize powered industrial trucks, including forklifts (including sit down and stand up) and pallet jacks to move merchandise
  • Transport filled orders throughout the warehouse to shipping assembling areas
  • Perform general warehouse cleaning duties
  • Perform other duties as assigned

Position Requirements:

  • Minimum of 18 years of age
  • Able to lift up to 75 lbs. occasionally, must be able to life 25 lbs. consistently
  • Able to use Power Industrial Equipment including forklifts and RF scanner
  • Must be able to read, write and speak English to communicate verbally and written
  • Ability to follow directions and willing to learn
  • Able to work weekends and holidays and be flexible to work overtime

Work Schedule:

  • 5-day work week Monday - Friday
  • Start time range of 8:00pm until the work is completed
  • 40-45 hours per week
  • Some mandatory Holiday work included
  • Whitestown, IN location, this is an in-person position

Compensation:

  • Hourly rate $18.00/hr - $22.00/hr depending on experience
