Job description

PRIMARY FUNCTION:
Receive raw materials for feed production
RESPONSIBILITIES AND TASKS:
  • Receive and unload rail cars and trucks into correct ingredient bin locations or warehouse, and enter information on receiving reports as required.
  • Inventory raw material tanks daily, record measurements, and report information to the supervisor.
  • Collect samples as directed by the supervisor.
  • Must have the ability to be certified as a rail car mover.
  • Must have the ability to be certified for forklift operation.
  • Communicate to the supervisor any issues that interfere with receiving operations.
  • Perform housekeeping duties as assigned by the supervisor.
  • Perform load-out duties when necessary.
  • Must be able to perform duties effectively with minimal supervision.
  • Must have the ability to cooperate with other mill and maintenance employees, as well as truck drivers and railroad employees.
  • Must be willing to work overtime until the job is completed each day.
  • Other duties as assigned by the supervisor.

EDUCATION AND CERTIFICATIONS:
  • High School Diploma or equivalent preferred, but not required
  • Perform basic-level mathematical calculations involving subtraction, addition, multiplication, and division.
  • Utilize basic computer functions such as data entry.

SAFETY REQUIREMENTS:
  • Follow departmental and company safety policies and programs
  • Must wear Personal Protective Equipment (PPE) at all times in areas where required
