As an Account Manager Sales - Downstream Chemicals - Houston, TX, you will be responsible for managing strategic customer relationships, supporting refinery chemical process operations, and driving commercial growth across assigned accounts. You will collaborate with customers, technical teams, and commercial stakeholders to identify opportunities, deliver innovative solutions, and ensure exceptional service execution while leading a team focused on customer success and business performance.

As an Account Manager Sales - Downstream Chemicals - Houston, TX, you will be responsible for:
  • Applying a solid understanding of refinery process operations, utility units, industrial chemical treatment programs, and sales processes to support customer operations and deliver value-driven solutions.
  • Providing technical troubleshooting support by utilizing strong mechanical aptitude, laboratory experience, and industry knowledge to identify and resolve operational challenges.
  • Demonstrating a comprehensive understanding of customer requirements and refinery market conditions to support account growth, customer satisfaction, and business objectives.
  • Communicating effectively with customers, leadership, and internal stakeholders through clear verbal and written communications while delivering technical recommendations and business solutions.
  • Building long-term strategic relationships with customers by understanding their business requirements, providing account management support, and identifying sales opportunities.
  • Identifying, coordinating, and collaborating with internal teams to drive projects, technical sales activities, and innovative solutions that bring value to customers.
  • Leading business reviews and delivering technical presentations to customers, leadership, and internal stakeholders.
  • Managing the day-to-day operations of existing refinery chemical process business for customer accounts, technicians, and account representatives.
  • Developing strong working relationships with customers and team members through effective communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Ensuring compliance with Sales and Service Standards across key customer accounts and commercial activities.
  • Directly leading, coaching, and developing a team of employees to achieve business objectives and foster a high-performance culture.

To be successful in this role, you will:

  • Have experience supporting refinery process treatment, downstream chemicals, or related industrial chemical applications.
