Job description

A Project Manager in the project management office will lead and manage projects that involve the design, implementation, maintenance, and closeout of electrical systems and solutions. Your role will require strong technical knowledge of electrical engineering principles and practices, as well as effective cost management and project management skills to ensure projects are completed on time, within budget, and to the satisfaction of clients.

As a Project Manager, you’ll be at the heart of our projects, ensuring everything runs smoothly from start to finish. Your day will involve developing comprehensive project plans that outline the scope, objectives, deliverables, milestones, and timelines. You’ll allocate and coordinate resources, including engineers, technicians, equipment, and materials, to keep the project on track.

You’ll provide technical guidance and expertise to engineering and construction teams throughout the project lifecycle, ensuring high-quality outcomes. Establishing strong communication channels with clients will be key, as you’ll need to understand their requirements, provide updates, and address any concerns. Additionally, you’ll monitor project budgets and expenditures to ensure we stay within financial targets.

This is role is hybrid for Rhode Island area.

Qualifications
  • Bachelor’s degree from an accredited college or university;
  • Previous experience in electrical engineering, project management, or a related role
  • Experience with electrical utilities, electrical system design, installation, and maintenance projects
  • Transmission line and Substation experience preferred
  • Cost Analyst experience in examining and interpreting financial data, auditing upon close out, and providing detailed summation preferred.
  • 6 years experience or greater or 3 years’ experience plus PMP
  • Curious and active listener:You have a deep hunger to learn, coupled with a willingness to think outside the box.You ask a lot of questions.You recognize there is a difference between “hearing” and “listening.
  • Resilient and self-motivated:You are always striving to build upon previous successes
  • Detail oriented:The little things matter!

Benefits & Salary:
  • This position pays between $120,000 and $140,000 annually and is an exempt position.
  • Benefits offered include company sponsored medical, dental, vision, and 401(k) plan with company match. Also offered are tuition reimbursement, voluntary life, disability, critical illness, accident and hospitalization plans. HSA or FSA medical accounts and FSA dependent care and transportation/parking accounts are also available. These benefits are subject to employee contribution amounts generally set annually.
  • Full time employees are eligible to earn PTO hours.
  • May be eligible for discretionary bonus as determined by the company.
