Commercial Journeyman Electrician – Deliver Precision Power and High-Quality Commercial Solutions with C&R Electric Inc


Job Overview

  • Company: C&R Electric Inc
  • Salary/Pay Rate: $32.00 - $38.00 per hour (based on experience).
  • Location: Curtis Bay, MD (Travel Required: 10% travel outside 30 miles).
  • Job/Employment Type: Full Time.
  • Project Scope: Commercial construction including site work, utility work, service and switch gear infrastructure, branch circuitry, rough-in, and trim-out.
  • Mandatory Licenses & Certifications: None


The Opportunity

You will play a pivotal role in executing high-quality commercial electrical installations from the ground up. Joining our field operations team allows you to showcase your technical expertise while working with a company that refuses to cut corners. Here, you will have the opportunity to mentor apprentices and ensure every project meets our standards of absolute excellence.


How You Will Make an Impact

  • Execute commercial electrical tasks safely, efficiently, and with minimal supervision.
  • Read and accurately interpret blueprint drawings to lay out and execute installations.
  • Install critical infrastructure including site utility work, switch gear, and branch circuitry.
  • Perform comprehensive rough-in and trim-out electrical work on commercial job sites.
  • Troubleshoot complex electrical circuitry issues quickly to minimize project downtime.
  • Mentor apprentices and helpers to ensure they work safely and build their technical skills.
  • Arrive daily on time with a professional attitude to uphold project timelines.


Required Qualifications & Experience

  • Minimum of 4 years of experience in the commercial electrical construction field.
  • Strong working knowledge of the current National Electrical Code (NEC).
  • Reliable personal transportation to travel to job sites as needed.
  • Personal hand tools, battery-power hand drill


Preferred Qualifications & Experience

  • 5 or more years of commercial electrical experience.
  • Completion of a formal electrical trade program or technical certification.
  • Demonstrated experience guiding and instructing apprentice electricians.
  • Electrical Journeyman's License in Maryland.
  • OSHA 10


Compensation & Benefits
