Job description

Job Summary
The Supervisor, Logistics Operations leads warehouse and logistics execution supporting the Grand Island manufacturing site, ensuring the compliant, efficient, and uninterrupted flow of materials, inventory, and finished goods throughout the supply chain. The role is accountable for inventory accuracy, material traceability, warehouse compliance, transportation coordination, and label control operations in support of manufacturing, quality, and customer requirements.
Provides leadership to logistics and warehouse planning personnel, establishes operational priorities, drives continuous improvement initiatives, and ensures adherence to cGMP, safety, quality, and regulatory standards. Through collaboration with Production, Quality, Supply Chain, Transportation Providers, and Materials Management, the role ensures reliable product flow and on-time fulfillment while supporting site operational objectives.
Salary Range: $73,614-$103,000 annually + 6% annual bonus
Final pay determinations will depend on various factors, including, but not limited to experience level, education, knowledge, skills, and abilities.
Responsibilities
  • Oversees the inventory control activities for all finished products, API Chemicals, and manufacturing supplies including, but not limited to glass vials, stoppers, seals, printed labels, and consumables. This includes oversight of the cycle count program, accuracy levels, internal and external replenishment, and discrepancy reconciliation and reporting.
  • Coordinates the activities of the warehouse personnel involved in the outbound and receiving operations. This includes overseeing workflows and levels of activity to ensure finished product is delivered to the DCs, and chemicals and supplies are delivered to production in a timely, cost-effective manner.
  • Ensure timely receipt, processing, and distribution of manufacturing materials, APIs, components
  • Oversee transportation scheduling and coordination with carriers, distribution centers, contract manufacturers, and suppliers
  • Direct and supervise Warehouse Operations Planners responsible for shipment planning, inventory transactions, and logistics coordination
  • Direct and supervise Label Control operations, ensuring consistent availability of secondary materials for production need
  • Recruiting and retaining talent.
  • Promotes, plans, initiates, and implements continuous improvement projects.
  • Ensure all employees are properly trained for the functions they are performing and to ensure compliance with all regulatory agency requirements.
  • Initiates, and maintains, Standard Operating Procedures to ensure cGMP compliance associated with all warehouse activities.
  • Collaborates with a variety of functions including quality assurance, finance, customer service, suppliers, Buyers, and organizations providing finished products and manufacturing supplies and ingredients to the facility.
  • Oversees employee relations including the handling of inquiries, issue resolution, performance appraisals, and employee counseling.
  • Oversees the day-to-day activities performed by any outside contract warehouse or distribution operation.
  • Supervise the execution of the project(s).
  • Act as the System Administrator for all Warehouse Management solutions.
  • Collaborate and coordinate the various internal (engineering, IT, Qualification, etc.) and external teams (vendors).
  • Identifies system related processes to improve inventory movement and lead such efforts.
  • Collaborate with other department management to maintain efficient product flow to and from the production environments and warehousing.

Requirements
  • Bachelor's Degree in Business or related field. Minimum of five (5) years experience in a distribution environment
  • Must have proven experience managing multiple warehouse management processes ideally in a multi-site environment
  • Must possess strong analytical, leadership, and team building skills.
  • Proactive and results driven.
  • Demonstrated skills in problem solving.
  • Experience with ERP systems (preferably SAP) as well as warehouse management systems.
  • Must possess excellent computer skills including the Microsoft Suite of products.
  • Prior experience working in an FDA regulated environment is a plus.
  • Must demonstrate proficient working knowledge of Good Warehouse procedures and practices and general supply chain processes.
  • Must exhibit productive work results in all assigned duties.
