Position Title: Cloud Engineer

Various position levels for each position:

Junior-level – 2-3 years of experience

Mid-level – 4-8 years of experience

Senior-level – 10+ years of experience

Location: Huntsville, AL (Hybrid/On-Site preferred, possibly remote)
Clearance: Active Secret Clearance Required

CODEplus is seeking a Cloud Engineer to support modernization, infrastructure transformation, and DevSecOps enablement efforts supporting mission-critical Army tactical systems.

The selected candidate will support the design, deployment, automation, security, and sustainment of scalable cloud and hybrid infrastructure environments aligned with Agile, DevSecOps, and MOSA principles.

Key Responsibilities

  • Design, deploy, and maintain secure cloud and hybrid infrastructure environments supporting mission-critical applications
  • Support cloud migration, modernization, scalability, and infrastructure optimization initiatives
  • Implement Infrastructure as Code (IaC), automation, and configuration management solutions
  • Integrate cloud infrastructure into CI/CD and DevSecOps pipelines
  • Support containerized environments and orchestration platforms such as Kubernetes/OpenShift
  • Implement security controls, monitoring, logging, and RMF-aligned compliance measures across cloud environments
  • Collaborate with software engineering, DevSecOps, cybersecurity, and systems engineering teams
  • Support operational readiness, system resiliency, disaster recovery, and performance optimization efforts

Desired Technical Skills

  • Experience with cloud platforms such as AWS, Azure, or Government Cloud environments
  • Experience with Infrastructure as Code tools such as Terraform, Ansible, or CloudFormation
  • Familiarity with Kubernetes, Docker, OpenShift, or container orchestration technologies
  • Experience supporting CI/CD integration and DevSecOps environments
  • Knowledge of Linux administration, scripting, automation, and monitoring tools
  • Understanding of Zero Trust, RMF, cybersecurity compliance, and secure cloud architectures
  • Experience supporting tactical, mission-critical, or DoD systems environments is highly desired

Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, Information Systems, or related technical field
  • Cloud engineering or infrastructure automation experience
  • Relevant cloud certifications preferred (AWS, Azure, Kubernetes, Security+, etc.)
  • Experience supporting DoD or classified environments preferred
