Job description

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
Primary duties and responsibilities include, but are not limited to, the following:
Maintain a positive attitude with guests and team members.
Identify guests' challenges, diffuse situations, and provide service recovery.
Actively listen to guest inquiries and respond using a positive, clear speaking voice.
Relay accurate information to guests regarding hours of operation, hotel services, restaurants, meeting and convention rooms, airline shuttle service, etc.
Check guest tickets for seating numbers and direct or escort the guests to their seats.
Use linens, table toppers, and table numbers to set up showroom seating.
Stand at podium in re-entry area during events to ensure visibility to guests.
Any other duties as assigned within the scope of this position.

KNOWLEDGE/SKILLS/ABILITIES
Possess excellent communication and problem-solving skills.
Ability of simple reading, writing, and math skills is required.
Must have the following skills: analyzing, instructing, following instructions, memorization, and problem solving.
Flexible to work all shifts including holidays, nights, and weekend hours as business needs dictate.
Must be a minimum of 18 years of age.

Any combination of education, training, or experience that provides the required knowledge, skills, and abilities.

PHYSICAL DEMANDS
While performing the duties of this job, the team member is constantly standing, walking, and occasionally reaching overhead, and bending over during the duration of their shift.
Must be able to lift/carry 10lbs or less frequently.
The team member will constantly have repetitive use of both feet and hands and require occasional light grasping motions. Finger dexterity of both hands will be frequently required.
Frequent use of vision abilities is required including distance, depth perception, field of vision, and color vision.

WORK ENVIRONMENT
Work performed consistently indoors with and around others. Team Member will perform work face-to-face including verbal contact with others on extended shifts around computer equipment and other electrical devices.
The noise level in the work environment is usually moderate to loud.
Team Member may be exposed to vibrations, dirt/dust, moving objects, slippery surfaces, odors, and/or secondhand smoke.
