Senior Associate; Brand Creative Researcher

Brand Creative is looking for a creative researcher to help optimize marketing content through various testing platforms and interpreting relevant research. The successful candidate will assist other brand associates in designing, implementing, and analyzing tests. Additionally, the candidate will be responsible for summarizing and reporting results with actionable recommendations-as well as assisting in maintaining research repositories & resources.

The right candidate is someone who's intellectually curious and has a knack for solving problems-and experience creating marketing content (copy or design) is a big plus. You'll be collaborating with an existing Brand R&D team, with the opportunity to influence our processes and approach to creative research.

What you'll bring to the role:

  • Strong ability to identify patterns/trends in customer response to creative assets.

  • Strong ability to recognize trends/insights in quantitative data.

  • Strong ability to autonomously manage workload & timelines for multiple projects

  • Ability to quickly learn marketing tools such as Zappi & UserTesting.com

  • Proactive attitude-you don't just identify opportunities, but bring solutions to the table.

  • Excellent communication skills

  • Proficiency in Google Suite

  • A team mentality; ease in collaborating with all types of people


Your responsibilities:

  • Collaborate with R&D to build and implement creative testing.

  • Analyze tests and develop insights for improving creative assets.

  • Ensure testing results are accurate & applicable to marketing goals

  • Build & present results decks for creative partners

  • Maintain & develop online research repositories.

  • Quickly learn and become proficient in marketing tools

  • Assist in developing best practices/procedures for using marketing tools effectively

  • Attend relevant project meetings

Basic Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree or military experience

  • At least 2 years work experience in creative marketing or advertising

Preferred Qualifications:

  • At least 1 year of experience in an agency or in-house team

  • At least 1 year of Copywriting and/or Design experience

  • Experience with marketing research tools such as Zappi and/or UserTesting.com

  • 1 year of experience in financial or some other highly-regulated industry

  • Proven track record in creative asset development and/or pre-market testing.

The minimum and maximum full-time annual salaries for this role are listed below, by location. Please note that this salary information is solely for candidates hired to perform work within one of these locations, and refers to the amount Capital One is willing to pay at the time of this posting. Salaries for part-time roles will be prorated based upon the agreed upon number of hours to be regularly worked.

Chicago, IL: $87,700 - $100,100 for Sr. Associate, Market Research


McLean, VA: $96,500 - $110,100 for Sr. Associate, Market Research


New York, NY: $105,300 - $120,100 for Sr. Associate, Market Research


Richmond, VA: $87,700 - $100,100 for Sr. Associate, Market Research








Candidates hired to work in other locations will be subject to the pay range associated with that location, and the actual annualized salary amount offered to any candidate at the time of hire will be reflected solely in the candidate's offer letter.

This role is also eligible to earn performance based incentive compensation, which may include cash bonus(es) and/or long term incentives (LTI). Incentives could be discretionary or non discretionary depending on the plan.
