Computer Engineer, UI/UX and Dashboard Development

We are seeking a senior Computer Engineer IV with strong UI/UX design expertise to support Condition-Based Maintenance Plus initiatives. This role will focus on designing intuitive user interfaces, developing data-driven dashboards, and supporting system and data architecture efforts that enable effective maintenance and operational decision-making.

This position can be fully remote, and any required travel would be reimbursed by the government.

The ideal candidate is a highly collaborative UX/UI professional who can work closely with data engineers, systems engineers, developers, and technical stakeholders to turn complex data and system requirements into usable, user-centered solutions.

Responsibilities

  • Design and develop user interfaces and dashboards for CBM+ systems and data platforms

  • Apply UI/UX best practices to create intuitive, accessible, and user-centered designs

  • Support dashboard development and data visualization efforts for maintenance and operational decision-making

  • Collaborate with data engineers, systems engineers, software developers, and stakeholders to integrate data and system architectures

  • Support data science initiatives through visualization, analytics tools, and interface design

  • Contribute to system and data architecture planning for scalable CBM+ solutions

  • Ensure interfaces are usable, performant, accessible, and aligned with end-user needs

  • Translate complex technical requirements into clear workflows, dashboards, and design concepts

  • Communicate effectively with technical and non-technical stakeholders throughout the design and development process

Required Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in Computer Engineering, Computer Science, Human-Computer Interaction, Information Systems, or a related field

  • Active DoD Secret clearance

  • CompTIA Security+ certification at minimum

  • 10+ years of experience in UI/UX design, software engineering, dashboard development, data visualization, or a related technical field

  • Strong background in user interface design, user experience design, and user-centered design practices

  • Experience developing dashboards or data visualization solutions using tools such as Qlik, Power BI, Tableau, or similar platforms

  • Strong understanding of data visualization, interface design, data science concepts, and system architecture

  • Experience supporting complex technical environments

  • Strong communication, collaboration, and stakeholder engagement skills

Preferred Qualifications

  • Experience with Qlik or Qlik Sense

  • Experience supporting Condition-Based Maintenance Plus, predictive maintenance, logistics, aviation, defense, or operational decision-support systems

  • Experience with data architecture, system architecture, or analytics platforms

  • Experience working in DoD, federal, or other regulated environments

  • DoD 8570 Advanced certification such as SecurityX, GCSA, CCSP, or equivalent

  • Experience with wireframing, prototyping, design systems, or tools such as Figma, Adobe XD, Sketch, or similar platforms

Compensation

Target compensation is approximately $185,000, depending on experience, qualifications, and overall fit.
