What is a user generated content creator?

A User Generated Content (UGC) Creator is someone who produces original content—such as videos, photos, reviews, or social media posts—about a brand, product, or service, typically as a consumer rather than a traditional influencer. UGC Creators are often hired by companies to make authentic, relatable content that resonates with their target audience. Unlike influencers, UGC Creators focus on storytelling and real-life experiences rather than growing a large personal following. Their content is used by brands in marketing campaigns to build trust and increase engagement. UGC is highly valued because it appears more genuine and trustworthy to potential customers.

What are the key skills and qualifications needed to thrive as a user generated content creator?

To thrive as a User Generated Content Creator, you need strong storytelling abilities, creativity, and a solid understanding of digital platforms, typically supported by experience in content creation or digital marketing. Familiarity with video and photo editing tools (such as Adobe Creative Suite or Canva) and knowledge of major social media platforms are essential. Excellent communication, adaptability, and audience engagement skills help creators stand out in a competitive landscape. These skills are crucial for producing authentic, high-quality content that resonates with audiences and drives engagement for brands or communities.

How do user generated content creators typically collaborate with marketing and product teams?

User Generated Content Creators often work closely with marketing and product teams to align their content with brand goals and messaging. They may participate in brainstorming sessions, receive briefs outlining campaign objectives, and provide feedback on what resonates with audiences. Regular communication ensures that their content supports product launches, promotions, and community engagement strategies. This collaborative structure helps creators stay informed about upcoming initiatives and produce relevant, impactful content.

Job description

ADVANCE YOUR CAREER. ADVANCE THE WORLD.
At AMD, we believe technology can change lives for the better. It can heal us, entertain us, and make us more connected, productive, and understanding of the world around us. And we're looking for talent who feel the same: people who want to leave the planet better than they found it, those who don't shy away from humanity's challenges but are determined to help solve them.
AMD is powering the next generation of supercomputing, high-performance computing, cloud, and AI. Whether you're designing next-gen processors, enabling AI breakthroughs, or creating go-to-market plans, every role at AMD contributes to something bigger - technology that moves the world forward.
THE ROLE
AMD's Legal Department is seeking a Senior Paralegal, Marketing Legal to own key parts of the legal review process for marketing campaigns, product launches, and promotional materials. This role is responsible for supporting compliant, high-impact marketing initiatives, while helping scale and evolve how marketing legal work gets done.
You will act as a key contributor on a wide range of projects-from digital campaigns and sponsorships to major events like trade shows and product launches-working closely with attorneys and business partners across the company. In addition, you will use sound judgment across a wide range of issues, operate with a high degree of independence on day-to-day workstreams, and use AI and process improvements to materially scale the Legal Department's effectiveness and efficiency as AMD continues to grow at high speed.
THE PERSON
You are a highly organized, proactive professional who thrives under pressure and enjoys managing multiple projects with tight deadlines. You are collaborative, adaptable, and bring strong communication skills that allow you to work effectively with colleagues across legal, marketing, and business functions. A keen eye for detail, sound business judgment, and curiosity about new technologies and applying new tools---including AI---make you well-suited for this role. You enjoy supporting innovative marketing strategies, bring a positive team spirit (and sense of humor), and can balance precision with flexibility in a constantly evolving environment. You are comfortable operating with limited direction on day-to-day work and know when to escalate and when to resolve within established guidance.
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES
Core Marketing Legal Support
  • Conduct pre-publication reviews of marketing, advertising, PR content, and packaging for compliance with legal and regulatory guidelines.
  • Support legal review of sponsorships, contests, sweepstakes, user-generated content, and marketing production projects.
  • Partner with attorneys to counsel and train marketing teams on advertising compliance, including topics such as claim substantiation, testimonials/endorsements, AI in marketing, and disclosure requirements.
  • Provide occasional on-site legal support for key events, including trade shows, product launches, Analyst Days, and sales conferences.
  • Independently identify potential marketing issues (e.g., claims, substantiation, disclosures, endorsements) and triage appropriately within established guidance.
  • Act as a primary point of contact for defined categories of marketing workstreams.

AI-Enabled Marketing Legal Operations
Use AI tools to:
  • Accelerate issue spotting, summarization, and initial analysis
  • Create and refine structured workflows, templates, and tools to improve consistency and efficiency
  • Identify patterns across reviews to surface recurring risks and opportunities for improvement

We are specifically looking for candidates who are excited to use AI tools daily to improve how legal work gets done.
Process Ownership & Scaling
  • Own and improve core elements of the marketing legal review process (intake, triage, workflows, templates)
  • Develop playbooks, checklists, and self-service guidance for marketing teams
  • Recommend and implement changes that reduce cycle time and increase consistency
  • Help translate legal policies into clear, practical "rules of the road" for business teams

PREFERRED EXPERIENCE
  • Strong experience as a paralegal or legal assistant independently supporting marketing or advertising matters.
  • Strong familiarity with advertising law, promotions, sweepstakes/contests, endorsements, and disclosure regulations.
  • Significant in-house experience at a technology company or in a fast-paced corporate legal environment.
  • Strong organizational skills, with the ability to manage multiple projects and deadlines simultaneously.
  • Demonstrated ability to build effective relationships with cross-functional partners.
  • Hands-on experience using AI tools in legal, marketing, or operations workflows.

ACADEMIC CREDENTIALS
  • Bachelor's degree or paralegal certificate or equivalent training

LOCATION
  • Austin, TX

This role is not eligible for visa sponsorship.
