What is a user generated content creator?

A User Generated Content (UGC) Creator is someone who produces original content—such as videos, photos, reviews, or social media posts—about a brand, product, or service, typically as a consumer rather than a traditional influencer. UGC Creators are often hired by companies to make authentic, relatable content that resonates with their target audience. Unlike influencers, UGC Creators focus on storytelling and real-life experiences rather than growing a large personal following. Their content is used by brands in marketing campaigns to build trust and increase engagement. UGC is highly valued because it appears more genuine and trustworthy to potential customers.

What are the key skills and qualifications needed to thrive as a user generated content creator?

To thrive as a User Generated Content Creator, you need strong storytelling abilities, creativity, and a solid understanding of digital platforms, typically supported by experience in content creation or digital marketing. Familiarity with video and photo editing tools (such as Adobe Creative Suite or Canva) and knowledge of major social media platforms are essential. Excellent communication, adaptability, and audience engagement skills help creators stand out in a competitive landscape. These skills are crucial for producing authentic, high-quality content that resonates with audiences and drives engagement for brands or communities.

How do user generated content creators typically collaborate with marketing and product teams?

User Generated Content Creators often work closely with marketing and product teams to align their content with brand goals and messaging. They may participate in brainstorming sessions, receive briefs outlining campaign objectives, and provide feedback on what resonates with audiences. Regular communication ensures that their content supports product launches, promotions, and community engagement strategies. This collaborative structure helps creators stay informed about upcoming initiatives and produce relevant, impactful content.

LV Collective

Job description

Where are you on game day-and what are you posting about it?

If you're the person who's already thinking about the angle, the clip, the caption, and the hook while everyone else is just watching the game, keep reading.

At LV Collective, we're building some of the most high-energy hospitality brands in the country, and social media is at the center of it. As our Social Media Coordinator, Hospitality, you won't just manage accounts-you'll create content that drives real attention, real engagement, and real traffic.

This role is heavily focused on our sports-driven concepts, including Victory Lap and Side Piece Pies-where game days aren't the side show, they are the show. From Texas Longhorn football Saturdays to March Madness to major golf weekends, you'll turn real-time energy into content people actually want to watch, share, and show up for.

You don't just consume content-you study it. You know what performs, what flops, and why. You're constantly thinking about hooks, formats, and how to stop the scroll. You've likely created content on your own and understand what it takes to build an audience.

At the same time, you're deeply plugged into sports culture. You know the moments that matter, how fans experience them, and how to translate that into content that hits.

Who You Are
  • You're as obsessed with social media performance as you are with sports
  • You understand what makes content work-hooks, pacing, watch time, and engagement
  • You've created content yourself and have a strong point of view on what performs
  • You don't just follow trends-you adapt them quickly and make them your own
  • You instinctively think in content, especially during live moments
  • You know how to film, edit, and package content for each platform
  • You enjoy engaging with people and building a community-not just posting
  • You're organized, but can pivot quickly when real-time moments happen
  • You have a strong GSD mentality and take ownership of your work
What You'll DoOwn the Social Presence (Sports Concepts)
  • Manage social media accounts for Victory Lap (Austin + Columbus) and Side Piece Pies
  • Build and execute content calendars in coordination with the Director of Social and hospitality marketing team
  • Ensure content is timely, relevant, and aligned with sports, events, and cultural moments
Create Content That Performs
  • Own the full content cycle: concepting, filming, editing, and publishing
  • Capture high-performing short-form content across Instagram, TikTok, and emerging platforms
  • Turn live sports moments, game days, and in-venue energy into engaging content quickly
  • Regularly capture content on-site to stay close to the brand and guest experience
  • Continuously test formats, hooks, and creative approaches to improve performance
Be the Voice of the Brand
  • Engage with followers through comments, DMs, reposts, and tagged content
  • Build and maintain a strong, consistent brand voice
  • Highlight guest experiences through user-generated content and community interaction
Stay Ahead of Trends
  • Monitor platform updates, algorithm shifts, and emerging trends
  • Adapt trends into brand-relevant content quickly and thoughtfully
  • Bring fresh ideas that keep accounts competitive and growing
Collaborate & Execute
  • Work closely with the Director of Social Media, hospitality marketing team, and on-site teams
  • Translate input from multiple stakeholders into cohesive, high-performing content
  • Support content shoots, campaigns, and promotions
Other
  • Assist with other duties and special projects as assigned
  • Some travel may be required
  • Some night and weekend availability required

Requirements

Education & Experience
  • 1-3 years of experience in social media, content creation, or digital marketing
  • Experience managing social media accounts for brands (hospitality experience strongly preferred)
  • Strong understanding of Instagram, TikTok, and short-form video platforms
  • Experience filming and editing content (CapCut, Adobe, or similar tools)
  • A portfolio or examples of social media content you've created (personal or professional) is required
Business Skills
  • Can-do attitude with a strong GSD mentality
  • Strong time management and ability to balance planning with real-time execution
  • Excellent written communication and understanding of brand voice
  • Strong collaboration and communication skills
  • Highly organized but adaptable in fast-paced environments
  • Detail-oriented with a strong eye for content quality
Bonus Points If...
  • You have experience in sports, hospitality, or restaurant marketing
  • You actively create content and have a track record of producing high-performing or viral posts
  • You have photography or videography skills
  • You're deeply familiar with college sports culture (especially Texas Longhorns or Ohio State)
