Job description

User Experience (UX) Designer Sr
The User Experience Designer Sr will advocate for our clients, creating user experiences that connect business objectives to customer-centered digital experiences. They will conceptualize these experiences through collaboration, sketching, storyboarding, information modeling and other methods. Candidates should possess an extensive knowledge of the design thinking process and the ability to deliver high-quality experiences that optimize performance across EverBank's digital platforms. Candidates must include a portfolio of work with their application.
Key Responsibilities and Duties
  • Collaborate with marketing, product and technology partners to fully understand the customer journey, potential gaps, and opportunities.
  • Develop artifacts ranging from low- to high-fidelity wireframes, user flows, visual designs, specifications, annotations, and other documentation as needed throughout the design process to appropriately communicate the experience.
  • Using an established design system, build or update website pages within a content management system (CMS) to optimize customer journeys, and improve conversion, engagement, and discoverability.
  • Explore new opportunities for the design system to ensure not only brand continuity, but its evolution to meet new user expectations.
  • Partner with Technology to ensure technical feasibility and expected implementation of design system components including participating in Product Requirement Documentation (PRD) and User Acceptance Testing (UAT).
  • Stay current on the competitive landscape and trends within the financial service market.
  • Maintain working knowledge of emerging user interface, interaction design standards and best practices.

Educational Requirements
  • University (Degree) Preferred

Minimum Qualifications
  • 5+ years of professional UX/UI design experience creating digital customer experiences, including wireframes, user flows, prototypes, and visual designs.
  • Experience in using and contributing to design systems across web and digital platforms.
  • Advanced proficiency with UX design tools and methodologies - Figma and modern design workflows
  • Strong problem-solving and collaboration skills with the ability to balance user needs, business goals, and technical constraints
  • Ability to communicate and present design solutions, clearly articulating customer journeys and design rationale

Preferred Qualifications
  • 7+ years of UX design experience, preferably within financial services, banking, fintech, or other highly regulated industries.
  • Experience working within a Content Management System (CMS) to build, update, and optimize web experiences.
  • Understanding of digital marketing funnels, customer journey optimization, and conversion strategies
  • Bachelor's degree in User Experience Design, Human-Computer Interaction, Graphic Design, Digital Design Media, Marketing or a related field, highly preferred
