Join SAIC in Colorado Springs, CO, to develop mission-critical military, intelligence, and Air Force solutions. We are seeking a skilled Senior Full Stack Cloud-Native Developer with strong User Interface (UI) development expertise onsite in Colorado Springs, CO to design advanced solutions and enhance user experiences for mission-critical applications. As part of an innovative, fast-paced team, you will engage in design, development, testing, deployment, and integration of cutting-edge solutions that support the warfighter.
The successful candidate will design visually compelling, user-friendly interfaces while building sustainable, cloud-native applications within a rapid prototyping team. This role includes collaboration with software engineers, data engineers, DevSecOps engineers, and systems engineers.
Responsibilities:
  • Design and implement modern, responsive, and accessible UI solutions using frameworks like React, Angular, or VueJS, alongside HTML5, CSS3, and JavaScript/TypeScript.
  • Translate user needs into intuitive interfaces using wireframes, prototypes, and design systems.
  • Build and manage scalable back-end services using Python, Java, C#, or Go, and leverage Kubernetes, REST/GraphQL APIs, and microservices.
  • Work with data engineers to integrate data pipelines, analytics tools, and content delivery processes.
  • Partner with cyber engineers to enhance software security and develop automated CI/CD pipelines for seamless deployments with DevSecOps teams.
  • Participate in architecture decisions, technical design reviews, Agile workflows, and iterative software delivery.
  • Troubleshoot performance issues, guide junior developers, conduct code reviews, and advocate for UI best practices.

Qualifications
Required Qualifications:
  • Education: Bachelor's degree with 9+ years, Master's with 7+ years, or PhD with 4+ years of related experience.
  • On-Site Requirement: Willing to work 100% on-site in Colorado Springs, CO.
  • Back-End Development: 4+ years of experience with Python, Java, or C#.
  • Front-End Development: Team-based experience with React, Angular, or VueJS, plus HTML5, CSS3, and modern UI standards.
  • Cloud Development: 4+ years with AWS, Azure, or DAF Cloudworks, and experience automating testing and delivery processes.
  • Tools & Processes: Expertise with Git, Docker, Kubernetes, Agile Scrum, and CI/CD pipelines.
  • Testing & Optimization: Proficiency with automated testing (e.g., JMeter, Selenium, Jest) and front-end optimization for accessibility and performance.
Desired Qualifications:
  • UI/UX Expertise: Experience designing aesthetic, user-friendly, accessible interfaces with design tools (Figma, Adobe XD, Sketch) and a focus on responsive design, A11y compliance, and web performance.
  • DevOps Skills: Familiarity with Jenkins, Terraform, Helm, and container orchestration.
  • Certifications:
    • Google UX Design Professional Certificate - Focus on UI/UX design.
    • AWS Certified Developer - Associate or Azure Developer Associate for cloud expertise.
    • Certified Professional in Accessibility Core Competencies (CPACC) - Expertise in accessibility for UI/UX development.
    • Front End Libraries Certification (freeCodeCamp) or other practical UI certifications.
