Job description

Job title- Senior UX Designer / Researcher - Accessibility Specialist
Location-200 E Grand Avenue, Des Moines, IA 50309
Duration-6+ months 
Visa-USC and GC 
 
This is a pure UX research and design role. No coding is expected. Front-end development experience is optional.
 
Key Responsibilities
Lead UX research and user-centered design activities across enterprise initiatives.
Conduct user testing and translate findings into actionable UI/UX improvements.
Create user journeys, flows, wireframes, prototypes, and design recommendations.
Collaborate closely with the Lead UX/Accessibility Architect.
Apply accessibility-first design principles and WCAG standards.
Develop clear design documentation, annotations, and UX standards.
Work with stakeholders, business teams, and technical teams to understand user needs.
Support the Iowa Department of Education's Student Reporting in Iowa (SRI) modernization initiative.
Provide UX support for the Department of Natural Resources (DNR) and other state projects as needed.
Help scale consistent, high-quality digital experience standards across enterprise initiatives.
