They work closely with UX designers, researchers, developers, and stakeholders to ensure that projects are delivered on time, within scope, and meet user needs. Their responsibilities often include setting project timelines, managing resources, facilitating communication, and ensuring that user-centered design principles are followed throughout the project lifecycle. By bridging the gap between UX teams and other departments, UX Project Managers help create seamless and effective user experiences.

How does a User Experience Project Manager typically collaborate with designers, developers, and stakeholders during a project lifecycle?

A User Experience Project Manager acts as the central point of coordination between UX designers, developers, and stakeholders throughout a project's lifecycle. They facilitate regular communication to ensure design objectives align with technical constraints and business goals, often leading meetings, sharing feedback, and tracking progress. This role requires balancing user needs with project timelines and resources, addressing any roadblocks, and making sure each team member understands their responsibilities. Effective collaboration is essential for delivering cohesive and user-centered solutions on schedule.

Job description

Overview:
TItle: Project Manager- Level 2
Location: Remote
Description:
Overview
We are seeking a Project Manager who thrives in complex, cross-functional environments and is passionate about turning strategy into execution.
This role is about far more than tracking timelines. Our Project Managers create clarity, build alignment, and drive successful delivery across Product Development initiatives. They partner with Product, Engineering, Design, and business stakeholders to ensure the right work is delivered at the right time while proactively managing risks, dependencies, and organizational change.
Successful Project Managers are curious, organized, collaborative, and comfortable navigating ambiguity. They ask thoughtful questions, connect day-to-day execution to business outcomes, and help teams deliver with confidence.
What You'll Do
Lead Cross-Functional Delivery
  • Own planning and execution for medium-to-large cross-functional initiatives.
  • Develop integrated project plans that align teams around shared objectives.
  • Coordinate activities across Product, Engineering, UX, Architecture, QA, Operations, and other business partners.
  • Ensure projects deliver intended business outcomes-not simply completed tasks.
Drive Planning and Execution
  • Translate strategic priorities into actionable delivery plans.
  • Establish milestones, timelines, dependencies, and success measures.
  • Monitor project health and proactively address risks before they impact delivery.
  • Keep initiatives moving forward by identifying and removing obstacles.
Build Alignment Across Teams
  • Facilitate communication between technical and business stakeholders.
  • Lead project meetings, planning sessions, and decision-making discussions.
  • Surface tradeoffs and recommendations to support informed decisions.
  • Foster collaboration and accountability across multiple teams.
Manage Risk and Change
  • Identify project risks, assumptions, dependencies, and constraints.
  • Develop mitigation plans and escalate issues when appropriate.
  • Coordinate organizational readiness activities for significant releases.
  • Help teams successfully adapt to changing priorities and evolving business needs.
Improve Delivery Excellence
  • Promote consistent project management practices across initiatives.
  • Identify opportunities to improve planning, communication, and execution.
  • Contribute to continuous improvement of PMO processes, templates, and operating models.
  • Support a culture of accountability, transparency, and continuous learning.
What We're Looking For
  • Strong project management fundamentals including planning, scheduling, risk management, scope management, and stakeholder communication.
  • Experience leading complex, cross-functional initiatives.
  • Ability to bring structure and clarity to ambiguous situations.
  • Strong facilitation and relationship-building skills.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication.
  • Experience working in Agile, hybrid, or traditional delivery environments.
  • Comfortable partnering with engineering teams and understanding technical concepts well enough to manage delivery and dependencies. Software development experience is not required.
  • 3-7 years of project or program management experience.
Nice to Have
  • Experience supporting software or SaaS product development.
  • Familiarity with Jira, Confluence, Smartsheet, or similar collaboration tools.
  • PMP, CAPM, Scrum, Agile, or similar certifications.
