Job description

About the Role

We're seeking a UX Product Designer to shape the core user experience of Translucent - the AI financial platform transforming how healthcare organizations make business decisions. This is a founding design role. You'll be the design leader shaping how complex financial and operational workflows become intuitive, conversational, and insight-driven through AI. This role is equal parts product thinking, interaction design, systems design, and visual refinement. You'll partner with customers, product, and engineering to craft elegant solutions that make healthcare decision-making feel simple.

If you are energized by fast-paced environments, want ownership, and are excited to build new AI-native products from 01, this is an opportunity to do career-defining work.

IIn this role, you will:

  • Own product design, UX architecture, prototyping, and visual aesthetic
  • Partner with product, engineering, and forward-deployed teams to deeply understand customer workflows, pain points, and mental models
  • Translate complex, data-heavy use cases and workflows into intuitive, clear, and highly-usable product experiences
  • Define and evolve our design system, visual language, and UX patterns across the platform
  • Create high-fidelity prototypes to communicate experience direction and enable rapid iteration
  • Collaborate closely with engineering to ensure design intent is delivered with quality
  • Drive UX experimentation and validation through user testing, feedback sessions, and live usage signals
  • Mentor others in product design best practices and help raise the design bar across our team

What You Bring

  • 6-10+ years designing high-quality digital products, ideally in SaaS, analytics platforms, or AI-powered tools for reputable brands
  • Mastery of UX and interaction design: You can simplify complexity without oversimplifying
  • Strong visual taste: You sweat the details of typography, hierarchy, and layouts
  • Experience designing for data-heavy, workflow-driven use cases
  • Ability to create production-ready Figma designs and prototypes at speed
  • Comfort working in high-velocity and ambiguity: You can define the problem as you design the solution
  • Collaborative style: You work fluidly with Product and engineers and know how to drive alignment
  • Clarity in communication: You can explain the "why" behind your decisions to both technical and non-technical audiences
  • A portfolio that demonstrates systems thinking, product storytelling, and beautiful execution
  • Strong ability to rapidly prototype new products or features

Bonus Points

  • Experience designing tools for financial analytics, enterprise workflows, or healthcare users
  • Experience with conversational interfaces, copilots, agents, or generative AI UX patterns
  • Prior startup experience where you owned both design strategy and hands-on execution
  • You are a designer who can also code!
