WOOD Federal Solutions is seeking a User Experience (UX) Designer 2 to support federal mission systems in a highassurance environment. This role is suited for a senior UX professional who can lead design efforts across the project lifecycle and collaborate closely with technical teams and stakeholders to deliver intuitive, effective user experiences for complex systems.

Security Clearance Requirements:

This position requires all candidates to be U.S. Citizens and possess an active TS/SCI Security Clearance with a Polygraph.


  • Lead the planning, design, and development of user experiences for missioncritical devices, tools, and systems
  • Establish and apply interaction standards, usability conventions, and visual design principles
  • Collaborate with engineers, subjectmatter experts, and stakeholders to gather and refine user requirements
  • Develop wireframes, screen mockups, and prototypes to support design concepts and system functionality
  • Participate in design tradeoff discussions to balance usability, technical constraints, and mission needs
  • Analyze tools, platforms, and technologies to enhance user interaction and system effectiveness
  • Apply visualization and screen design expertise to deliver intuitive, accessible, and effective interfaces
  • Support customer understanding of emerging interaction techniques and design approaches

Required Education & Years of Experience:

  • Ten (10) years of professional experience in User Experience (UX) Design
  • Five (5) years of experience within the past ten (10) years leading or supporting project lifecycle design efforts
  • Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science or a related discipline from an accredited college or university
    • Four (4) additional years of relevant UX design experience on comparable projects may be substituted in lieu of a degree
  • Demonstrated experience designing for complex systems or enterpriselevel applications
  • Ability to collaborate effectively in multidisciplinary teams
