Job description

Description:

Defines discipline organization and participation on a project including scope of work design criteria, schedules, standards, and procedures. Prepares staffing estimates and execution plans and monitors progress assessment. Review's, approves and executes all consultant LOI's and Contracts related to assigned and/or third party contracts as may be requested. Commissions conceptual site studies, grading studies, utility reviews and feasibilities analysis. Reviews work produced to ensure that applicable development as well as building code standards and procedures are followed and that quality is acceptable. Understands and maintains current knowledge of all governmental laws and regulations affecting the projects. Monitors, expedites, assures effective payment of fees and approval or release of permits on behalf of the Owner of all submittals related to assigned and/or third party projects as may be requested.  Monitors productivity and technical proficiency of the assigned personnel. Provides guidance, feedback and value engineering alternatives for all assigned and/or third party projects as may be requested. Makes staffing assignments and reassignments as project needs arise. Determines and request budget estimates as well as staffing requirements for the defined scope and schedule. Ensures that design work is coordinated with project staff and other engineering disciplines by maintaining clear and frequent communication. Advises upper management regarding any problem areas, staffing requirements, delays in production, scope changes, or other events which could affect project completion and/or profitability.  Initiates and reviews change order requests for additions, deletions, or changes to the original scope of work.  Keeps abreast of current trends and technologies. Ensures that adequate checking is performed in accordance with department standards and procedures policy. Performs other responsibilities associated with this position as may be appropriate and requested.

Qualifications:

Ability to communicate effectively with Guests, Team Members and Management in both written and verbal form. 4-year degree in Architecture and 10-15 years of related work experience in the "Hospitality/Gaming Industry" is preferable. Able to self start and persist with specific courses of action while exhibiting high motivation. Able to make decisions on available information and take action. Able to organize time and work efforts effectively with minimal supervision. Able to relate to routine operations in a manner that is consistent with established protocol.
