Overview

Job Purpose

The UX/UI Designer's primary responsibility is to craft and implement engaging user experiences and front-end design across ICE's digital properties. Reporting to the Senior Manager of UX & Web Marketing, this role partners closely with business units, developers, and growth marketers to deliver responsive, brand-consistent design solutions that align with ICE's overall business objectives and style guides.

The ideal candidate is passionate about consistent and compelling web design, experienced in translating complex requirements into intuitive digital experiences. They will bring a genuine enthusiasm for user experience, a familiarity with content strategy, and the ability to interpret user behavior to surface new design solutions within a collaborative, fast-moving marketing team.

Responsibilities

  • Lead end-to-end UX design efforts across ICE web properties, including user research, journey mapping, information architecture, wireframing, prototyping, and final visual design.
  • Design intuitive, accessible, and brand-consistent interfaces for marketing pages and web-based platforms.
  • Collaborate with marketing and business stakeholders to define requirements, align on design direction, and ensure feasibility of design solutions within technical constraints.
  • Produce high-quality UX deliverables including user flows, wireframes, interaction specs, component documentation, site maps, and high-fidelity prototypes using tools such as Figma.
  • Contribute to and help maintain ICE's design system, ensuring consistency of UI components, typography, color, and interaction patterns across all digital touchpoints.
  • Create responsive design layouts that perform seamlessly across desktop, tablet, and mobile environments.
  • Test and iterate on UI elements - including CTAs, page layouts, navigation, data visualizations, and landing pages - based on user feedback and performance metrics.
  • Collaborate with marketing and communications teams to ensure visual and UX consistency across campaigns, product launches, and brand initiatives.
  • Present design concepts, rationale, and iteration history clearly to stakeholders and be able to articulate and defend design decisions with confidence.
  • Stay current with industry trends, emerging design tools, accessibility standards (WCAG), and innovations in financial technology UX.

Knowledge and Experience

  • Bachelor's degree in Graphic Design, Human-Computer Interaction, Visual Communication, Marketing or a related field - or equivalent practical experience.
  • 2+ years of professional experience in UX/UI design for digital products, web applications, or enterprise platforms.
  • Proficiency in Figma, including component libraries, auto-layout, prototyping, and collaborative design workflows.
  • Demonstrated experience creating wireframes, user flows, interaction models, and high-fidelity mockups across the full design lifecycle.
  • Strong understanding of user-centered design (UCD) principles, interaction design patterns, and information architecture.
  • Experience conducting qualitative and quantitative user research and translating findings into actionable design improvements.
  • Solid grasp of responsive design principles and the ability to design for multiple screen sizes and browsers.
  • Working knowledge of HTML5, CSS, and JavaScript fundamentals sufficient to communicate effectively with front-end engineers, understand implementation constraints, and evaluate what is technically achievable in a web environment.
  • Familiarity with web accessibility standards and inclusive design practices.
  • Strong portfolio demonstrating a range of UX and UI work, including process documentation (research, wireframes, iterations, final designs).
  • Understanding of SEO best practices as they relate to web design and information architecture decisions.
  • Demonstrated interest in or experience with AI-assisted design workflows and emerging design tooling.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills, with the ability to present work clearly and collaborate cross-functionally in a distributed team environment.
