What is the difference between User Acceptance Testing vs QA Tester?
| Aspect | User Acceptance Testing | QA Tester |
|---|---|---|
| Primary Focus | Validating if the software meets user needs and requirements | Identifying bugs and issues to ensure software quality |
| Timing in Development | Performed after development and internal testing | Conducted throughout the development process, especially during testing phases |
| Credentials | Often requires understanding of business processes and user perspective | Requires technical testing skills and knowledge of testing tools |
| Work Environment | Usually involves end-users, clients, or business stakeholders | Typically performed by dedicated QA teams or testers |
While both roles focus on software quality, User Acceptance Testing emphasizes verifying that the software meets user needs and business requirements, often involving end-users. QA Testers concentrate on identifying technical bugs and issues during development. Both are essential for delivering a reliable and user-friendly product.
