Summary:
Assumes responsibility for customer retention and profitability in the used-vehicle profit centers. Fulfills responsibilities primarily through effective personnel management, knowledge of market potential, established performance standards and a keen awareness of each department's break-even data.
Location: Bergey's Kia, Mazda, VW- Wilkes-Barre, PA
Essential Duties:
  • Appraise trade ins
  • Purchase and sell Used Car inventory
  • Stay abreast of incoming inventory, features, accessories, etc., and how they benefit customers
  • Know and understand the federal, state and local laws which govern retail auto sales
  • Develop and maintain a buying network
  • Help appraise vehicles when needed
  • Knowledgeable of purchasing vehicles online
  • Experience appraising vehicles
  • Works with dealer and general manager to determine appropriate days' supply for used vehicles and orders/acquires vehicle inventory accordingly.
  • Establishes standards for displaying, merchandising and maintaining used vehicles.
  • Establishes procedures for quick disposal of over-aged vehicles.
  • Checks the condition of all demonstrators monthly.
  • Studies local market conditions, demographics, and past sales history.
  • Ensure the lot is merchandised well and the cars are maintained at the highest standards.
  • Price all cars correctly on various websites and be familiar with online marketing of used vehicles.
  • Audits all appraisals of trade-in vehicles. Attends auction frequently.
  • Maintains a professional appearance.
  • Attends managers meetings as requested.
  • Finance experience preferred.
  • Other tasks as assigned.

Requirements:
  • Valid Driver's License

  • Successful completion of pre-employment background checks and drug test
