Used Car Technician
Location: Ed Voyles CDJR Marietta
Job Type: Full-Time
About the Role
Ed Voyles is looking for an experienced and dependable Used Car Technician to join our service team. In this role, you'll inspect, diagnose, repair, and recondition pre-owned vehicles to ensure they meet our quality and safety standards before being offered for sale. If you take pride in quality workmanship and enjoy working in a fast-paced environment, we'd like to hear from you.
Responsibilities
  • Perform comprehensive inspections on used vehicles.
  • Diagnose and repair mechanical, electrical, suspension, steering, and brake systems.
  • Complete vehicle reconditioning, including maintenance services and repairs.
  • Perform oil changes, tire services, alignments, battery replacements, and other routine maintenance.
  • Identify recommended repairs and document findings accurately.
  • Ensure all repairs meet dealership and manufacturer quality standards.
  • Maintain a clean, organized, and safe work area.
  • Work closely with the service and sales departments to meet inventory deadlines.
  • Test-drive vehicles as needed to verify repairs.

Qualifications
  • Previous experience as an automotive technician, preferably with used vehicle reconditioning.
  • Strong diagnostic and troubleshooting skills.
  • Ability to perform repairs on a wide variety of makes and models.
  • ASE Certifications are preferred but not required.
  • Valid driver's license with a clean driving record.
  • Ability to lift up to 50 pounds and stand for extended periods.
  • Strong attention to detail and commitment to quality.
