Job description

As a member of the UBI team, this position assists the A.V.P. Loan Review and S.V.P. Loan Review with problem loan administration including compiling the bank's quarterly loan watch list and loan loss reserve analysis. Manages and reports on-going status of Problem Loan Reports, UBI Watch List, and the Financial Accounting Standards 114 Report. Performs FSA and USDA reporting. Assists with Loan Administration and Lenders meetings, including accumulating meeting materials/reports, and maintaining an updated attendance list. Serves as back-up for Real Estate Appraisal Reviewer as needed. Follows all bank procedures and maintains confidentiality on all banking matters. Sells and promotes all bank services in such a way as to satisfy customer needs and enhance the bank's image within the community.

EDUCATION/TRAINING/EXPERIENCE:

High school diploma or general education degree (GED) and 2 - 4 years related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education, training, and experience.

LANGUAGE SKILLS:

Strong reading, writing and verbal skills to effectively present information and respond to questions from customers, prospective customers, and other employees.

MATHEMATICAL SKILLS:

Count, add, subtract, multiply and divide in all units of measure, using whole numbers, common fractions, and decimals. Ability to calculate figures and amounts such as interest and percentages.

REASONING ABILITY:

Comprehend and understand bank operations, policies (manuals), and procedures.

Interpret and apply compliance laws and regulations.

Independent judgment to recognize and maintain confidential information.

Recognize and reconcile problems following established guidelines.

OTHER SKILLS:

Ability to work independently and collaborate within a team to complete tasks effectively and efficiently by building and nurturing strong relationships with other UBI team members.

Interpersonal skills to deal effectively with customers in a friendly, courteous manner.

Good understanding of computer related operations.

Familiarity with standard office equipment such as calculators, typewriters, copy machines and fax machines.

Basic understanding of debits and credits.

Computer skills in word processing, spreadsheet and database software to generate correspondence and reports.
