Job Title: Lab Technician II
Location: Athens, GA
Type: Contract
Work Model: Onsite
Hours: 40.0
Overview
Global pharma company looking to hire entry level lab technician to join their growing team. BS Degree and prior experience with vaccine manufacturing or aseptic techniques is preferred.
Responsibilities
  • Perform activities associated with the preparation of vaccine components in an aseptic clean room environment using virus and cell culture techniques according to USDA regulations
  • Ensure compliance with Standard Operating Procedures during process execution
  • Assist with training and coaching current and new employees on required skills
  • Complete and review in-process documentation for accuracy and compliance in a timely manner; maintain technical data and support documentation
  • Participate in root cause analysis and implement corrective and preventative actions to address problems; escalate production flow disturbances
  • Demonstrate a visible and tangible commitment to EHS (Environment, Health, and Safety) programs and initiatives
  • Assess individual performance with regards to continuous improvement (AAI)
  • Support site projects and initiatives, including deviation and change control management
Requirements
  • Strong organizational and time management skills with attention to detail
  • Knowledge of clean room and aseptic techniques
  • Basic understanding of Lean Manufacturing Principles
  • Basic math skills, equipment/automation troubleshooting skills
  • Proficient with Microsoft Office and other database software systems
  • BS Degree in Biology preferred but not required
