Job description

Job Title: Oracle Cloud Financials Functional Consultant
Job Type: Contract (Long-Term) || W2 & C2C
Work Location: Remote

Work Authorization: USC, GC

Position Overview: We are seeking an experienced Oracle Cloud Financials Functional Consultant with strong expertise in GL, AP, AR, and Procure-to-Pay (P2P) processes to support a large-scale end-to-end Oracle Cloud ERP Financials implementation.

This is a high-impact role requiring close collaboration with senior finance stakeholders and cross-functional teams. The consultant will act as a key bridge between business users and technical teams, ensuring successful delivery across all phases of the implementation lifecycle.

Key Responsibilities

Client & Stakeholder Engagement

  • Partner with finance stakeholders to understand business requirements and translate them into functional solutions.
  • Act as the primary liaison between business users, implementation partners, and technical teams.
  • Provide regular updates, insights, and recommendations to leadership.

Functional Expertise

  • Serve as SME for Oracle Cloud Financials modules including GL, AP, AR, and P2P.
  • Conduct requirement gathering, process analysis, and solution design workshops.
  • Configure Oracle Financials modules aligned with business needs and best practices.

Implementation & Delivery

  • Lead and support CRP, SIT, and UAT cycles including test planning, execution, and defect resolution.
  • Review deliverables to ensure alignment with functional requirements.
  • Support production cutover activities and post-go-live stabilization.

Data Conversion

  • Support data migration activities including data mapping, validation, and reconciliation.
  • Work with technical teams on FBDI templates and data load processes.

Integrations & Reporting

  • Provide functional input for integrations with external systems such as tax engines and banking platforms.
  • Support reporting requirements using OTBI and BI Publisher.
  • Collaborate with technical teams on API and integration validation.
Required Skills & Experience
  • 8+ years of experience in Oracle Financials.
  • Minimum 2–3 Oracle Cloud Financials implementation experience.
  • Strong hands-on expertise in GL, AP, AR, and Procure-to-Pay (P2P) processes.
  • Solid understanding of accounting principles including journals, P&L, and balance sheet.
  • Experience in end-to-end implementation lifecycle including testing and cutover.
  • Strong stakeholder communication and documentation skills.
