This position is Non-appropriated Fund (NAF) and will be assigned to the Child Development Center, Joint Base Andrews, MD. This is a Regular part-time position and may be scheduled 20-40 hours per week.
The purpose of this position is to perform routine manual duties in food preparation and food service area such as preparing fruits and vegetables simple children's snacks.
$500.00 Recruitment bonus with a service agreement plus additional special recognition bonuses, some restrictions apply.Qualifications:Who May Apply: Open to everyone. In order to qualify, you must meet the experience requirements described below. Experience refers to paid and unpaid experience, including volunteer work done through National Service programs (e.g., Peace Corps, AmeriCorps) and other organizations (e.g., professional; philanthropic; religious; spiritual; community; student; social). You will receive credit for all qualifying experience, including volunteer experience. Your resume must clearly describe your relevant experience; if the position allows for qualifying based on education, your transcripts will be required as part of your application.
Qualifying Experience:
Must have at least six months food handling experience in a food establishment. Must be able to read, write, and understand written and oral instructions and do simple tasks that are easily learned. Must be able to follow oral instructions, be able to use hand tools for cleaning, operate simple machines. Must be skilled in doing tasks with several steps and must use judgment in sequencing tasks. Must know food-handling techniques to meet sanitation and safety standards. Physical Efforts: Must be physically able to lift or move objects weighing up to 40 pounds. Must be able to continuously stand, walk, and bend, frequently stoop, reach, push, and pull for long periods of time. Must be able to obtain a Food Handlers Certificate, and successfully complete a National Agency check, State Criminal History Check, and Installation Records Check. Must be 18 years of age. Must hold a valid driver's license.Education:Some federal jobs allow you to substitute your education for the required experience in order to qualify. This position does not allow for education substitution.
FOREIGN EDUCATION: Education completed in foreign colleges or universities may be used to meet the requirements. You must show proof the education credentials have been deemed to be at least equivalent to that gained in conventional U.S. education program.
