In this pivotal role, you will be instrumental in ensuring that new features and experiences deliver success for our users. You will dive deep into the user journey, identifying pain points and opportunities, and directly influencing the evolution of widely used products. Your research will shape the future of user interaction, making a tangible difference for a global audience.
What You'll Do
  • Conduct comprehensive research on target audience opinions and the user experience of product features, collaborating closely with the broader user research team, Designers, Product management, marketing, applied science, and engineering.
  • Devise and evaluate robust methods and procedures for collecting essential data, utilizing techniques such as surveys, interviews, unmoderated testing, or by leveraging existing data sources.
  • Gather critical data on competitors to gain a deep understanding of the competitive landscape, user experience, and perceptions, informing strategic product development.
  • Measure the effectiveness of both in-product features and proposed user experience enhancements to ensure optimal performance and user satisfaction.

Must-Have Qualifications
  • Bachelors, Masters, or PhD degree in Human-Computer Interaction, Computer Science, or a relevant Psychology degree (Masters/PhD preferred), or equivalent practical training required.
  • 0-2 years of related experience.
  • Exceptional verbal and written communication skills, coupled with strong negotiation, customer service, and interpersonal abilities.
  • Demonstrated ability to work independently and manage one's time effectively to meet project deadlines.
  • Basic knowledge of principles and methods for showing, promoting, and selling products or services.
  • Basic knowledge of media production, communication, and dissemination techniques and methods.

Nice-to-Have Qualifications
  • Ability to work with agility and communicate research insights with clarity and actionability for product teams, enabling rapid iteration and improvement.
  • Experience owning a study end-to-end within a fast-paced environment, demonstrating efficiency and thoroughness (e.g., a week or two turnaround).
  • Adept at understanding complex technical products and translating technical concepts into user-centric insights.
  • Openness to leveraging AI in research processes, with the ability to critically verify output and formulate effective prompts.
