Responsibilities
  • Leads the Quality Control team in all system management audits, including internal and customer audits.
  • Leads Management of Change activities that impact Quality Control activities.
  • Responsible for Clariant compliance and subsequent adherence to government flow-down directives.
  • Mentors and trains Quality Control technicians on policies and procedures.
  • Designs, develops, and implements best quality practices and processes for product development, including new QC methods, and optimizes existing methods to ensure accurate analytical results.
  • Ensures that a reporting structure for analytical results is maintained and that accurate results are reported.
  • Identifies the root cause of quality problems and coordinates modifications or other corrective actions.
  • Ensures contract compliance by reviewing and approving quality requirements for supplier purchase orders, manufacturing, and other related services.
  • Production-related: Performs incoming inspection of all materials to ensure compliance with specifications.
  • Lab-related: Operates laboratory equipment, including calipers, gauges, and optical inspection equipment.
  • Makes/tests RH solution for production, requiring lifting below, at, and above shoulder height of solution containers and dry boxes during the process.
  • Administrative: Reviews drawings and releases finished product for shipment.
  • Performs data collection and maintains accurate records and files in SAP/SharePoint. Maintains certificates of conformity information, creates certificate packages, archives batch files, and retains samples.
  • Manages Quality Systems and Processes (auditing and documentation, including guidelines, procedures, and GMS), ISO 9001, Quality Policy, validation protocols, Management of Change, Management Review, and QA strategy (processes, specifications, standards, and testing) with Sales, Operations, and Project Managers, as applicable.
  • Customer Satisfaction & Specification Management: Manages quality inquiries.
  • Project Coordination / NPI: Manages new products and the new material validation process in coordination with Sales, Supply Chain, and Production.

Requirements
  • Bachelor's Degree in a STEM field is preferred
  • 3 to 5 years of experience with ever increasing responsibiity within a Manufacturing / Quality Control environment
  • Lean 6 Sigma (preferred), 5S, ISO 9001 & QA Experience
  • Proficient with Microsoft Office Suite
  • SAP preferred
